Project Name and Location: 1. Design Evaporative Cooling Systems 2. USDA Cereal Disease Laboratory 1551 Lindig Street Saint Paul, MN 55108 Building 400 B. Project Summary Description. The Work of this Contract is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. General: The documents define general work necessary to provide evaporative cooling upgrades for the greenhouse. Modify the pre-alteration greenhouse to accommodate the installation of the new evaporative cooling equipment. Provide penetrations for ductwork. Fix the movable panel at the pre- alteration evaporative cooling equipment so that it is secured in place. Provide air and watertight seal. 2. Civil: The documents indicate that the area between greenhouse B400 and the adjacent greenhouse B401 consists of gravel and allows for the free drainage of rainwater off the site. Provide aggregate to accommodate the installation of supports and equipment. 3. Structural: The documents cover exterior supporting systems for the evaporative cooling equipment. 4. Mechanical: The drawings define requirements for the evaporative cooling equipment and supporting utilities. Provide greenhouse controls to manage the operation of the equipment and integrate the control of the equipment into the overall greenhouse controls. 5. Electrical: The drawings define the power utility necessary to support the evaporative cooling upgrades. Provide conduit, wire, and connection to existing power sources. 6. Plumbing: The drawings define the fill and makeup water utility requirements necessary to accommodate the evaporative cooling equipment. 7. The Architect/Engineer's status relative to the construction will be stated in writing by the Contracting Officer prior to the pre-construction conference.
