What this opportunity is

The Department of State is seeking quotes for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with specific technical characteristics, including a rated power of 5600 W and various input/output voltage configurations. This opportunity is open to all businesses, as there is no set-aside for small businesses. Interested vendors can submit quotes for delivery to either the U.S. Embassy in Nepal or a location in Kent, Washington, with pricing evaluated based on the lower cost. Note that while physical samples are not required initially, product photographs and technical datasheets must be provided.

Description

1. Delivery Location and Pricing Basis The RFQ identifies two possible FOB Destination delivery locations: U.S. Embassy Nepal in Kathmandu, Nepal, and the U.S. Despatch Agent in Kent, Washington. Should offerors provide pricing for both delivery locations, or should pricing be based on one Government-designated delivery location? If separate pricing is provided, which price will be used for evaluation? Quotes may be submitted for either or both locations. The lower priced location will be considered for price evaluation. 2. Physical Samples, Product Photographs, and Technical Datasheets Are physical samples required with the quotation, or will product photographs, manufacturer datasheets, and technical specifications be sufficient unless samples are later requested by the Government? Physical samples are not required with the quotation. Product photographs, manufacturer datasheets, and technical specifications will be sufficient unless samples are later requested by the Government 3. Minimum Salient Characteristics for “Or Equal” Products For “or equal” products, please confirm the minimum salient characteristics the Government will use to determine technical acceptability, including input/output voltage, scalability, battery runtime, rack/tower configuration, bypass requirements, communications compatibility, and form factor.
