Performance Work Statement
1.0 General Information
1.0 General
This is a non-personal services contract to provide Roadside Brushing and Logging out to the Umpqua National
Forest. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers
performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who,
in turn, is responsible to the Government. Interested parties are highly encouraged to visit the site(s) before
submitting an offer.
2.0 Purpose
The purpose of this Contract is for a single Contractor to provide maintenance of forest roads and
administrative use roads of the Umpqua National Forest.
3.0 Description of Services
This work includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and all
incidentals necessary to provide roadside brushing and logout services. The Contractor shall provide
services in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS), and all applicable federal, state and
local laws and regulations.
4.0 Place of performance and Accessibility
Work shall be performed on three Districts of the Umpqua National Forest:
North Umpqua Ranger Station is located in Glide, Oregon, 17 miles east of Roseburg, OR.
Cottage Grove Ranger Station is located in Dorena, OR, 5 miles east of Cottage Grove, OR.
Tiller Ranger Station is located in Tiller, Oregon, 23 miles east of Canyonville, OR

This project is in two Oregon Counties; Douglas and Lane. Wage rates for Douglas and Lane Counties are
included.
Work areas may be reached by Forest roads that are accessible by a standard two-wheel drive pickup equipped with
snow tires and chains, if needed, during normal operating seasons, unless otherwise indicated on Project Maps.
Vehicles shall not operate off-system roads without prior written approval of the Contracting Officer Representative
(COR).
