The Department of Defense is seeking sources for the procurement of five brand-new camper trailers for the Buckley Space Force Base Outdoor Recreation program, classified under NAICS 336214 and PSC 2330. This opportunity is suitable for small businesses, particularly those capable of providing durable, standard travel trailers without slide-outs, featuring specific technical specifications such as a two-way refrigerator and a solar power system. As this is a Sources Sought notice, interested vendors should track the opportunity for potential future solicitations rather than submit bids at this stage.

Description
STATEMENT OF NEED: CAMPER TRAILERS
Date: 26 May 2026
Project Title: Procurement of Outdoor Recreation (ODR) Camper Trailers
Requiring Activity: Buckley Space Force Base (BSFB) Outdoor Recreation (ODR)
1. Background / Mission Justification:
The Buckley Space Force Base (BSFB) Outdoor Recreation (ODR) program provides
essential morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) equipment for service members and their
dependents. High-quality, reliable camping equipment is one of the most requested
assets. Providing upgraded camper trailers will help keep morale high and support the well-
being of the Space Force community.
2. Scope of Work:
BSFB ODR has a requirement for the one-time purchase and permanent acquisition of five
(5) brand-new camper trailers. This is a purchase procurement, not a rental or lease
agreement.
While ODR’s baseline operational fleet requirement is to maintain a minimum of four (4)
active trailers, historical customer rental data indicates rising demand. Purchasing a total
of five (5) new units will expand the permanent base-owned inventory. This ensures ODR
can meet peak-season customer demand while allowing for routine maintenance
downtime of individual units without dropping below the active four-unit baseline.
3. Minimum Technical Specifications:
The contractor shall provide five (5) camper trailers meeting the following salient
characteristics to ensure durability and ease of use for ODR renters:
Layout: Standard travel trailer layout. No slide-outs (to minimize mechanical failures and
maintenance costs).
Refrigeration: Two-way (AC / Propane) RV refrigerator featuring an automatic electric
ignition system.
Power System: Minimum 100W roof-mounted solar panel integrated with a compatible
charge controller to maintain the deep-cycle house battery.
Stabilization: Four (4) heavy-duty manual scissor stabilizer jacks (one at each corner).

Hitching: Standard 2-5/16" ball hitch receiver with a manual top-wind tongue jack.
4. Delivery Requirements:
The contractor shall deliver all five (5) purchased trailers fully assembled, safety-inspected,
and ready for immediate deployment into the BSFB ODR rental fleet.
