Refer to FP-14, the Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS) and the engineering map and plans for technical requirements and tasks. Work activities and roads are specified in the Map and plans, FP-14, Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS) and Schedule of Items. Project Location The nearest town to the project location is Cedaredge, CO. Directions from the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests (NF), Supervisors’ Office, 2250 South Main, Delta, Colorado. Travel north on Highway 50 for 2.3 miles. Turn east onto Highway 92 E. Travel east for 3.8 miles to the intersection with Highway 65 N. Turn north onto Highway 65 N. Travel north for 26.8 miles. Turn east onto National Forest System Road (NFSR 121) Trickel Park (the Grand Mesa Visitors Center is adjacent to the Trickel Park Road). Drive to the beginning of the project. Project begins at the end of the existing asphalt. Station 251+94, Latitude: 39.044872°, Longitude: -107.946735° 2.0 Background Refer to General Information section 1.0 Scope of Work for the general description of the requirement. Contractor Requirements 3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks Technical requirements and tasks for this project include the following. 1) Construction Surveying and Staking 2) Contractor Sampling and Testing 3) Soil Erosion and Sediment Control 4) Watering for Dust Control 5) Clearing and Grubbing 6) Removal of Structures and Obstructions 7) Excavation and Embankment 8) Structure Excavation and backfill 9) Installation of Riprap 10) Placement of Minor Crushed Aggregate 11) Construction of Asphalt Concrete Pavement 12) Installation of Fog Seal 13) Asphalt Prime Coat and Blotter 14) Installation of Concrete Headwalls for Pipe Culverts 15) Installation of Pipe Culverts -- 3 of 5 -- 4 16) Installation of Pipe Culvert End Sections 17) Temporary Traffic Control Information for this project resides within the Map and Plans, FP-14, Forest Service Supplemental Specifications, and Schedule of Items. The contractor will be required to provide a construction schedule (GANTT chart or other acceptable schedule) to ensure technical expertise and understanding of specified work to meet the technical requirements of the project. 4.0 Government Furnished There is no Government-Furnished Property for this project.
