Description

1 Statement of Work (SOW) Up Cut Saw (1) each. Background: a. Requiring Organization Defense Distribution Depot Corpus Christi TX (DDCT) b. History Saw is required to replace an outdated machine that is maintenance intensive and lacks necessary safety equipment required to meet OSHA standards. c. Purpose of the Statement of Work (SOW): Purchase new Up Cut Saws one (1) ea. 1. Scope of Work to be Performed by Contractor: The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and material to construct, deliver and place into operation one (1) new up cut saw. All equipment furnished shall be new from the manufacturer’s most current production. The saw shall be in compliance with all OSHA, federal, state, and local codes and regulations and shall conform to the best quality of materials and workmanship. Accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to furnish complete systems ready for use, shall also be included and named. All transportation/shipping of the purchased saws shall be provided by the contractor. The machine must be equivalent to the below listed up cut saw. 1ea Vista Machines M24 24’ MITER Up Cut Saw. Salient Characteristics: • 208 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle electrical operation • 24” diameter carbide tipped blade • 10hp TEFC arbor drive motor • 24VDC control for pushbutton operation via PLC • Manual angle set • Capable of cuts up to 75 degrees from left or right side of 0 degrees • Banded 3 V-Belt Drive • Saw access door with safety switch • Automatic clamping of material before cutting • Right side feed • In-feed table 180” (15ft) long X 12” wide galvanized roller conveyor with 3” steel high fence rail with rollers on 6” center. Includes 1 Heavy Duty support leg and machine mounting brackets. -- 1 of 3 -- 2 • Out-feed table 216”(18ft) (192” (16ft) usable working space) long X 20” (16” usable working space) wide with programmable Tiger Stop made from solid 7 gauge steel with 3” fence rail including support leg and machine mounting brackets • Programmable 16ft working length material positioning system (TIGER STOP) • Gang Stop to extend material positioning system range 9” – 24” • Safety Interlock Kit for material positioning system (Tiger Stop) • Air Supply prep package with filter, regulator and shut off valve • 2 Button activation required Exterior color – Manufacturer’s standard. Warranty Coverage - Warranty coverage shall be manufacturer’s standard warranty but not less than one year parts and labor. Operator, Parts and Service Manual(s) and Training – The contractor shall provide with delivery, one (1) complete set of manuals with each machine. 2. Definitions of Terms and Abbreviations: a. DDCT: Defense Distribution Depot Corpus Christi TX b. OSHA: Occupational Safety Health Administration 3. Description of Contractor’s Tasks: Task 1: Fabricate and Deliver one (1) each Up Cut Saw. Saw to be connected to existing electrical connections, no requirement for additional electrical work is required. Saw to be connected to existing ventilation system, no additional ventilation system modification is required. Task 2: Connections are in place that are required for the installation and operation of the Up Cut Saw prior to scheduling the installation. Task 3: Install one (4) Up Cut Saw in locations identified in section 1. Task 4: Provide one (1) 8 hour period of training instruction on the safe operation and preventative maintenance procedures of the installed Up Cut Saw. Training to be conducted at one location to be identified by personnel at the receiving location on the day of delivery and installation. -- 2 of 3 -- 3 4. Certification and Acceptance: Final acceptance of the Up Cut Saw will be performed by personnel at the receiving location. 5. Project Management Approach: 6.
