SCOPE 1.1. Obtain a quantity of four (4) isolation transformer(s) that can take nominal 460V 3 Phase ungrounded power on the primary side and create 460V grounded power on the secondary side. The capacity of each isolation transformer shall be a minimum of 400KVA and provide 400AMPs of power. The transformers shall have the ability to transform 400KVA over the 440-480 3 Phase voltage range. 1.2. Obtain a quantity of one (1) isolation transformer(s) that can take nominal 460V 3 Phase ungrounded power on the primary side and create 460V 3 Phase grounded power on the secondary side. The capacity of each isolation transformer shall be a minimum of 800KVA and provide 800AMPs of power. The transformers shall have the ability to transform 800KVA over the 440-480 3 Phase voltage range. 2. APLLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1. Issues of Publications - The following documents, which are in effect on the date the solicitation is issued, are a part of this specification to the extent applicable, or as specified herein. Within the specification, they shall be referred to by their basic designation only. 2.1.1. Government 2.1.1.1. N/A 2.1.2. Nongovernment 2.1.2.1. N/A 2.2. Order of precedence - In the event of conflict between the text of this specification and that of the references cited above, the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws or regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1. Electrical Output 3.1.1. Output shall be grounded three-phase power. 3.1.2. The transformer must be capable of working over 440 and 480 VAC voltage range at 60 Hz. 3.1.3. The insulation rating of the isolation transformer windings to ground must exceed 10 meg-ohms when not in a circuit on both sides. 3.1.4. Frame must be grounded and provide a means to connect an external ground. 3.1.5. Safety devices: Fuse-able safety disconnects or disconnects with breaker protection (shall be installed on the primary and secondary sides of the transformer.
