US Department of Agriculture FY 2023 ERFO Project Sequoia National Forest Hume Lake, Western Divide, and the Kern River Ranger Districts -- 1 of 7 -- 3 STATEMENT OF WORK 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This project is located in the State of California, in Fresno, Tulare, and Kern County, Sequoia National Forest, Hume Lake, Western Divide, and Kern River Ranger Districts. The project includes six sites, including trail 28E05, on the Hume Lake Ranger District, ten sites on the Western Divide Ranger District, and three sites on the Kern River Ranger District. • Furnish all labor, equipment, and material to accomplish the work under this task order. Incidental vegetation and slough removal as required for aggregate base and asphalt placement, rock wall construction, fill slope repairs, and other specified work. • Remove slide/slough material from roadways and repair washouts on listed sites. Estimated volume of slide removal and washout repair is approximately 1837 CY for the base bid. • Complete earthwork as outlined in drawings and work list. • Recondition ditches where specified. • Recondition Roadway as specified for surface replacement at multiple sites. • Reconstruct 46 SY of Dry Stack rock retaining wall (approximately 82’L by 5’ H). • Place 315.3 tons of Aggregate at 16 sites for base bid. • Place 82.7 tons of Asphalt at six sites for base bid. NOTES: The Contractor should refer to the SCHEDULE OF ITEMS and project plans and specifications when making estimates of quantities or work. The Contractor must have a current State Contractors License, C-12 or equivalent to the Description of Work listed in the SOW. The Contractor shall possess and maintain all professional licenses required to perform the work specified under this construction contract. Pursuant to FAR 52.236 7, Permits and Responsibilities (July 2025), the Contractor is solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all permits and licenses necessary to ensure full compliance and proper performance throughout the contract period. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilites, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, testing, nonpersonal services, and all incidental items necessary to perform the requirements of this SOW and associated contract award. All work shall be done in accordance with applicable Specifications and Industry Standards. Where one or more of these conflict, the most stringent shall apply to the prosecution of work. The attachments to the RFQ/Statement of Work are hereby made part of this solicitation and any resultant contract. 2.
