The following specifications, standards and handbooks form a part of this document to the extent specified herein. (1) Certification of Compliance with Environmental and Safety Regulations Certificates are required to show that the material complies with the following regulations: a. 40 CFR 720 – Pre-manufacture Notification: Pre- manufacture Notification Requirements and Review Procedures. b. 40 CFR 761 - Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB's) Manufacturing, Processing, Distribution in Commerce, and use Prohibitions. c. 40 CFR Part 268, Subpart B - Schedule for Land Disposal Prohibitions and Establishments of Treatment Standards. d. Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Title III. e. Test Methods for Evaluation of Solid Waste; EPA Procedure 1030 and Number 7420 SW - 846, Third Edition, November, 2004. f. (d) INTENDED USE This material will be used in coating the filter element in the filter presses of the Bureau's Wiping Solution Recycling and Wastewater Pretreatment Plants. This coating is a thin protective layer, which is built up on the filter elements or septum. This layer will keep the solid particles from reaching the filter septum and blocking it.
