STATEMENT OF WORK
Necedah NWR Roads/Parking Lots
Purchase and delivery of 1 ¼” Road Base Gravel & 6”-16” Rip rap
1. GENERAL: Necedah National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) put in several low water crossings for
water passage and will shore up some streambank stabilization from floodwater scour. The
refuge maintains service roads, roads, parking lots and trails to maintain accessibility for staff
and visitors.
2. SCOPE: Necedah NWR will purchase 500 short tons (383 cubic yards) of 1 ¼” road base
aggregate to be delivered and piled at location #1 below. Necedah will purchase 300 short tons
(214.3 cubic yards) of 6”-16” rip rap; to be delivered and piled at location #2.
All road aggregate deliveries will not contain recycled materials such as asphalt, porcelain or
concrete
Refuge staff will identify the road to the contractor (see attached map for reference).
3. PLACE/DELIVERY AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Road aggregate and rip rap will
be delivered to Necedah National Wildlife Refuge; refer to attached map/coordinates for
reference. Delivery to begin after award is made and complete no later than 90 days after award.

5. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: Final acceptance will be provided once the full amount
of road aggregate has been received. The refuge will need an invoice for this project showing the
total amount delivered, the dates delivered, and total dollar amount.
6. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS: No Government equipment
or materials will be furnished to the contractor. The contractor shall provide all personnel,

equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other necessary
items and services.
7. AVAILABILITY: All work will be completed during normal business hours, Monday through
Friday from 0730 to 1530.
