GENERAL: This is a supply-only requirement for one (1) fully assembled, operational Vacuum Septic Truck for Curecanti National Recreation Area. All quoted products must meet or exceed the technical specifications listed herein. This requirement includes the complete vacuum truck: chassis, tank, vacuum system, plumbing, valves, safety equipment, and accessories. The vehicle must be suitable for sustained operation in mountainous climates and rugged terrain. SEPTIC PUMP TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS: Septic Pump Truck specifications are based on the Mack Granite 6x4 severe-service chassis and a 4,250-gallon aluminum vacuum tank. This is a Brand Name or “Or Equal” Requirement: Vendor may propose an equivalent model that meets or exceeds all specifications listed below. TRUCK CHASIS REQUIREMENTS: • 10 to 14 gear transmission with PTO provisions. • Air ride driver seat. • 80 to 100 gallons of fuel with integrated DEF. • Configuration: 6x4. • GVWR: Minimum 64,000 lbs. • Diesel Engine: Minimum 450 HP. • Transmission: Heavy-duty, PTO-capable, automated transmission equivalent to “M-Drive”. • Air brakes. • Engine brake (Jake brake or equivalent). • Power steering. • Enclosed cab with heating, air conditioning, and standard safety features. -- 2 of 6 -- TANK ASSEMBLY REQUIREMENTS: • Total Capacity: Equal to or greater than 4,250 gallons o Waste compartment: Equal to or greater than 3,250 gallons o Fresh water compartment: Equal to or greater than 1,000 gallons • Aluminum vacuum-rated construction. • Barrel thickness: Minimum 1/4 inch. • Head thickness: Minimum 5/16 inch. • ASME-rated dished heads. • Internal ASME-compliant baffles. • Full-length skids. • Interior liner or protective coating. • Exterior corrosion-resistant finish. VACUUM & DRIVE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Vacuum and Drive System specifications are based on the NVE 4310 ProMax. This is a Brand Name or “Or Equal” Requirement: Vendor may propose an equivalent model that meets or exceeds all specifications listed below. • PTO-driven vacuum pump and gearbox • Must meet or exceed the below performance: o 940 CFM @ 4500 RPM o 15 PSI at full vacuum o 4” inlet/outlet o Oil-less operation • Integrated moisture trap and silencer. • Airline manifold for compartment selection. • Capable of municipal septic and vault toilet servicing. -- 3 of 6 -- PLUMBING & VALVE REQUIRMENTS: • Discharge: Minimum 4-inch flanged • Intake: Minimum 3-inch front and rear • Fresh water fill: Minimum 3-inch stainless or equivalent • Brass or stainless-steel ball valves • Cam-lock fittings with dust caps • Low-point drain on fresh water compartment • Integrated fresh water fill system connected to discharge plumbing o Fresh water fill system shall be integrated with discharge plumbing, for example: T into discharge pipe after 4" ball valve with 3" ball valves, male 3" camlocks and (2) 22.5-degree elbows to allow easy attachment of 3" hose from discharge line to fresh water fill. Install 2" ball valve vent between 3" ball valve and camlock on fill line to clear the line when finished. ACCESS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 20-inch top and rear manways with secure covers. • Ladder access. • Sight glasses on waste compartment. • Hose trays and storage systems. • Adjustable rear bumper. • Tool storage compartments where available. • Mudflaps. • DOT-compliant lighting. • Backup alarm. • LED work lights. • Ground-level PTO and vacuum controls. -- 4 of 6 -- COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: • Vehicle must meet or exceed all applicable federal and state requirements: o DOT o FMVSS o EPA o OSHA o ASME-rated tank construction WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum one-year warranty on tank and body • Manufacturer’s standard warranty on chassis • Warranty details must be clearly stated CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Contractor shall: • Furnish a new, unused, current-production vacuum septic truck • Provide a fully assembled, fully operational vehicle upon delivery • Provide all required components, accessories, and safety equipment • Ensure the unit meets all specifications and regulatory requirements • Coordinate all delivery logistics DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: • Delivery must be FOB Destination and must be included in pricing. • Vendor must contact park to make delivery arrangements 1 (one) week prior to delivery. • Vendor must coordinate delivery logistics and provide estimated lead time • Truck must be delivered fully operational and ready for immediate use -- 5 of 6 -- DELIVERY LOCATION: Curecanti National Recreation Area 102 Elk Creek Gunnison, Colorado 81230 SUBMITTALS: Offerors must submit the following: • Company name and address • Point of contact (name, phone number, email) • Detailed chassis description. • Detailed tank assembly and vacuum system description. • Warranty details (chassis and body). • Estimated production and delivery timeline. • Itemized pricing for all components.
