Big Thicket National Preserve 6044 FM 420 Kountze, TX Specifications: Base Materials – Trail Rehab NATIONAL PARK SERVICE INTERIOR REGIONS 3/4/5 Missouri MAJOR ACQUISITION BUYING OFFICE -- 1 of 3 -- Brand name or “or equal” requirement, must meet or exceed, based on the following specifications: General Requirements: • No installation required – this procurement is for the items listed below and delivery. • Specifications and other supporting documents must be provided for all materials with the Solicitation quote. • All items shall be quoted with a breakout of each line item on the Price Schedule in order to compare pricing per unit. • Vendors shall quote pricing for each line item on a per ton basis. • Award to be made in one lot for each line item. • Additional amounts of each material, beyond the total required amounts listed below, may be required. o If additional materials are required, the total amount shall be determined at the time of Award and will be provided by the vendor at the price per ton rate quoted for the Solicitation in the Price Schedule. o Additional amounts shall not exceed 25% of the required amount listed in the Specifications for each material. o Evaluation of quotes will be performed on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis on the required amounts listed in the Specifications below and on the Price Schedule. Specifications for Crushed Concrete: • Total required amount: 330 tons • Crushed concrete shall not be over 1” in size. • No installation required – this procurement is for the gravel quantities above and delivery. • Crushed concrete must be free of any steel, asphalt, soil, wood, glass, or other foreign materials. • Supplier current specifications sheet and a representative test report must be provided for all materials with the Solicitation quote. Specifications for 3/8” Granite: • Total required amount: 170 tons • Granite must not be greater in size then 3/8”. • Color of the material must be either grey or brown. • No installation required – this procurement is for the gravel quantities below and delivery. • Supplier current specifications sheet and a representative test report must be provided for all materials with the Solicitation quote. -- 2 of 3 -- Specifications for 3/8” Limestone: • Total required amount: 240 tons • If 3/8” limestone is not available, then 3/4” will be acceptable. • No installation required – this procurement is for the gravel quantities below and delivery. • Color of the material must be beige. • Supplier current specifications sheet and a representative test report must be provided for all materials with the Solicitation quote. Delivery and Instructions: • Delivery: 60 days after contract award effective date. • Park owned equipment will move material once delivered to recemented area. • No restrictions on size of the trucks needed to make the deliveries. • Park hours of operation is Monday- Thursday 7 AM- 4 PM. • Delivery area has gated access and is inaccessible to the public without being opened by NPS. • Delivery cost must be included in pricing. • Arrangements for delivery must be made with NPS POC 1 (one) week prior to shipment. Applicable performance standards: • Delivery will be FOB Destination. • Award to be made as ONE LOT for each Line Item as a Firm Fixed Price. • Supplier current specifications sheet and a representative test report must be provided for all materials with the Solicitation quote.
