Statement of Work BOSE ProFlight Series II Headsets Travis AFB, CA 13 Aug 2026 1. Overview 1.1 The 6th Air Refueling Squadron requires (NEW) 25 Bose ProFlight Series II model flight headsets made by the Bose Corporation for use on the KC-46A. This is a “Brand Name ONLY” requirement authorized for use by AMC/A3V for use on the flight deck of the KC-46A. 1.2. Additional Saliant Characteristics: 1.2.1 Lightweight Design: Weighs 4.5 ounces or less, comfortable for extended use during flights. 1.2.2 Active Noise Cancellation: Offers multi-level noise cancellation, allowing users to adjust based on environment. 1.2.3 Flexible Cable: Thinner and more flexible cable for improved comfort and stability. 1.2.4 Durability: Engineered to withstand tough conditions, certified by FAA. 1.2.5 User-Friendly Controls: Includes control module for managing audio and Bluetooth connections easily. 1.2.6 Selective Use Functionality: Features dual earbuds capable of selective and regular donning/doffing with no change to headset fit, increasing user cross-cockpit hearing capabilities. 2. Description and Salient Characteristics 2.1 The contractor shall provide 25 each (NEW) Bose ProFlight Series II model (Bose part number 789812-5040) flight headsets with the following features: 2.1.1 Headsets must have the six pin LEMO plug. 2.1.1.1 This is to be compatible with the 6 pin LEMO to dual-plug high-impedance “civil” jack adapter plug (six pin to GA plug - Bose part number 327080-0010) (25 each) (NEW) and the 6 pin LEMO to single-plug low-impedance “military” adapter plug (six pin to U174 plug - Bose part number 327080-0020) (25 each) (NEW), without needing battery-operated converters. -- 1 of 2 -- 2.1.2 Headsets must have a microphone compatible with both high and low impedance systems, such that no interference is created when the microphone is keyed. 2.1.3. Headsets must sit on the user's head such that they do not interfere with boom operator 3D glasses use during air refueling. 2.1.4. Headsets must have the ability to be operated using one ear or two ears, to facilitate cross cockpit checklist reading IAW KC-46 standard operating procedures (SOPs). 2.1.5. Headsets must have Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval. 2.1.6 Headsets must have the ability to turn Bluetooth off during use. 2.2 The Contractor shall provide 25 each (New) Bose Proflight six pin to GA plugs. 2.3 The Contractor shall provide 25 each (New) Bose Proflight six pin to U174 plugs. 3. Warranty 3.1 Standard manufacturer warranty. The contractor shall liaison any warranty claims in the future. Any defect that is not caused by government damage or misuse shall be replaced by the contractor at no cost to the government. 4. Delivery 4.1 The contractor shall complete delivery of each line item no later than 30 calendar days after receipt of the order. -- 2 of 2 --
