1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all work in
accordance with these specifications. Work includes the design and installation and removal of fencing and
replacement of the fences at Base Supply building 158, the Thrift Store, building 530, Kaye Auditorium building
708, the Base Chapel building 712, and the Security Forces building 926, on Columbus AFB., Ms. All materials will
be contractor furnished. This general outline of work does not, in any way, limit the responsibility of the Contractor
to perform all work as specified herein.
1.1. Work Included for Bldg. 158
1.1.1. Prepare and measure location where fence is to be located.
1.1.2. Construct a 110+- linear feet 6’-0” chain link fenced area with gate, complete-in place with the following
characteristics:
1.1.2.1 Chain-link Fence:
a. Material and height: Install a 6-foot-tall chain link fence fabric, brown vinyl coated with brown fence slats.
b. The fence shall be supported by metal posts that are installed on concrete footings without damaging existing
utilities. Add tension wire to the bottom end of fence to provide support. Use PrivacyLink® fencing or an approved
equal.
1.1.2.2 Gates:
a. Install one (1) 8’-0” x 6’-0” swing gate
1.2. Work Included for Bldg. 530
1.2.1. Prepare and measure location where fence is to be located.
1.2.2. Construct a 59 +- linear feet 6’-0” chain link fenced area with gate, complete-in place with the following
characteristics:
1.2.2.1 Chain-link Fence:
a. Material and height: Install a 6-foot-tall chain link fence fabric, brown vinyl coated with brown fence slats.

1.5.0 Work Included for Bldg. 926.
1.5.1 Prepare and measure location where fence is to be located.
1.5.2 Construct a 121 +- linear feet 6’-0” chain link fenced area with gates, complete-in place with the following
characteristics:

1.5.2.2 Gates:

1.6.0 Once a job is started, the contractor is expected to finish that job within 60 days from award date, unless
directed by 14 CES. Weekends and Public Holidays are considered acceptable delays.
1.6.1 The Contractor will dispose of all scraps and debris after installation at an off-base location and ensure that
all scraps and debris are diligently guard against flying debris. Disposal shall be in accordance with existing local,
state, and federal regulations and shall not be placed in base refuse dumpsters.
1.6.2 Upon completion of installation the contractor will promptly notify the Contracting Office
Representative (COR) for final inspection and acceptance of service.
2.0 Execution:
2.1.0 Civil Engineering shall appoint a COR to monitor and inspect the project. The COR shall work in cooperation
with the Contractor and Contractor’s Representative to schedule and coordinate the installation of the fencing where
the work is to be performed.
2.1.1 Contractor’s Representative
A representative of the Contractor shall directly supervise construction of this project. This person shall be
responsible for coordinating all phases of work with the Construction Management Office. The representative shall
always be on the job site or readily accessible work is being performed and shall have authority to execute no cost
field changes on behalf of the Contractor if agreed to by all parties involved. This person will also be responsible for
all Quality Control of the job site and will be held responsible by for the installation of all work in accordance with
the specifications. The representative shall be competent and familiar with all phases of work under his authority.
2.2 REMOVAL
2.2.1 Costs for cleanup of debris generated during material removal and installation shall be included in the
quoted price.
