Statement of Work (SOW) Seymour Johnson AFB 4 MUNS Conventional Maintenance Bay Hoist 29 June 2026 1.0. BACKGROUND 1.1. Conventional Maintenance at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (SJAFB) manages the assembly, inspection, and loading of non-nuclear weapons including Guided Bomb Units (GBU)-12, GBU-31s, GBU-38s GBU-54s for real world operations and familiarization training for 4 fighter squadrons in the 4 FW. 1.2. Conventional Maintenance’s Bay hoist, serial number 36630 made by ACCO-Wright, is currently inoperable; when bearing weight within its rated capacity, the hoist fails to rise. Inspection identified a malfunctioning relay responsible for upward movement and degraded collector shoes. Repair of the hoist is required to restore safe and efficient loading and unloading operations. 1.3. After inspection of the hoist’s internal components, it was found that one of the relays that controls upward movement is dysfunctional. Additionally, the collector shoes were found to be degraded. 1.4. To efficiently perform loading and unloading operations, the hoist will need to be repaired. 2.0. OBJECTIVES 2.1. The objective of this SOW is to repair the Conventional Maintenance Bay hoist. The repaired hoist shall meet all requirements outlined in this document. 3.0. SCOPE 3.1. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials and labor to repair the hoist. The contractor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to troubleshooting, material delivery, and repair of the hoist. 4.0. REQUIREMENTS 4.1. Overhead hoists shall comply with the design specifications, characteristics, and rules of ASME B30.7 (Winches), B30.10 (Hooks), and B30.16 (Overhead Underhung and Stationary Hoists). 4.2. The contractor shall: Troubleshoot and repair hoist Repair or replace faulty parts Conduct quality control checks of repaired hoist 4.3. Component & Layout Specifications: 4.3.1. Location. The hoist shall be installed in the same operating location, Building 2202 Bay 1, Munitions Circle, Goldsboro, NC 27531. Access will be provided Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1500. 4.4. Installation & Workmanship: The contractor shall perform a complete, professional installation, which includes: Field-verifying all room dimensions and confirming the layout prior to placing material orders. Coordinating all delivery and installation dates and times with the government point of contact. Receiving and inspecting all components for damage or shortages upon delivery. The contractor is responsible for filing freight claims and re-ordering any damaged parts. Unloading and moving all materials to the designated installation area. Un-crating all materials, disposing of all trash and packaging, and leaving the area clean upon completion of the installation. Providing complete user orientation on all aspects of the equipment, including operation and safety procedures. 5.0. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY/SERVICES 5.1. The Government will provide the contractor with access to the work site (the new Logistics section) during mutually agreed-upon duty hours for the purpose of installation. 6.0. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS 6.1. The contractor shall provide an "as-built" or final layout drawing upon project completion. 6.2. The contractor shall provide all manufacturer’s literature, operating instructions, and warranty documentation to the government point of contact. 7.0. WARRANTY 7.1. The contractor shall provide a standard manufacturer’s warranty for all equipment and components, and a standard labor/workmanship warranty for all installation work performed. Warranty coverage shall be valid for a minimum of twelve (12) months from the date of final Government acceptance.
