REQUIREMENTS: CV) (C) "PRE -BRIEF" 3.1 Prior to the start of work, attend Pre -Brief to confirm that the Contractor, the Government, and the Ship's Force understand the tasks the contractor is required to accomplish as part of this job specification and that each of the parties understand the precautionary measures to be taken to prevent flooding while the repairs/alterations are in progress and who has responsibility for such measures. -SHIPSUPT NOTE: Opening Item 78 and 79 of LHA-7 Docking Drawing (DWC.801 -8502725) for piping listed in 1.3.2 3.2 Remove each existing bolted plate listed in 1.3.1 for the replacement of each firemain discharge piping, using 2.3 through 2.7 for guidance. 3.2.1 Clean each exposed part and fastener free of foreign matter, leaving no residue or injurious effects. 3.2.1.1 Chase and tap each exposed threaded area. 3.3 Remove existing and install new firemain discharge piping to replace the firemain discharge piping listed in 1.3.2, using 2.8 through 2.10 for guidance. 3.3.1 Do not remove gate valve (FM -V-2166) reuse. 3.3.2 Do not do onboard hot work located in 1.2.2. (See 4.3) 3.3.3 Clean each existing orifice, fastener and pipe hanger for 3.3.4 Accomplish the requirements of Paragraphs 4 and 5 of 2.11 for pipe bending section. 3.3.5 Accomplish the requirements of 009-12 of 2.1, including Table One Columns A and B, Lines One through 10 for shop welding. 3.3.6 Accomplish the requirements of 2.2 including each note for installation of new flange assembly listed in 1.3.2.1 to facilitate installation work of new firemain discharge piping without onboard hot work. 343 -- 3 of 13 -- Ship/HULL NO.
