Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with King Nutronics (CAGE 13859) in Woodland Hills, CA for the procurement of QTY 10 High Temperature Calibrators, P/N 3604A-1-101 and QTY 7 Low Temperature Calibrators P/N 3605A-1-101 in support of the Metrology Calibration (METCAL) program calibrators. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 3204(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." King Nutronics is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of current models & calibration standards used by the fleet and the only manufacturer that can meet the Government’s METCAL requirement to replace these exact models to support existing instrument calibration procedures. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
