Hoosier NF Aluminum bed installation for Ford F-600

Statement of Work Project This is for the acquisition of a new aluminum flatbed body for EN4132 on the Hoosier National Forest. The work will consist of procuring and installing the truck body onto EN 4132 a Ford F-600 regular cab 4x4 with 84" cab to axle length. The forest can drop off and pick up the truck to any installer located within 100 miles of Bedford, IN. General Information Scope of Work This is for the acquisition of a new aluminum flatbed body for EN4132 on the Hoosier National Forest. The work will consist of procuring and installing the service body onto EN 4132 a Ford F-600 regular cab 4x4 with 84" cab to axle length. The forest can drop off and pick up the truck to any installer located within 100 miles of Bedford, IN. Background The forest currently has a 2024 Ford F-600 4x4 that has no bed on it. It was ordered with the intention of placing a bed on it after it arrived. It was delivered in 2025 and fleet was told not to submit any contracts for the remainder of 2025. The forest would like to get this bed installed on the truck and place it into service. Contractor Requirements Technical Requirements / Tasks The forest is looking for an aluminum flatbed body that has at least 4 integrated storage boxes built into a skirted bed. The bed will also need the ability to tow a 30,000 lb. gooseneck trailer and 24,000 lb. bumper pull trailers with hitches included. The gooseneck hitch will also require a trap door to leave a flat bed while not in use. The bed will also need a to have an integrated aluminum headache rack to protect occupants in truck cab. All lighting shall be LED for longer service life. The truck bed will need to be installed and verified that all wiring, back up camera, and fuel filling locations are operational before government takes delivery. Government Furnished The forest Service will furnish EN 4132 Ford F-600. Deliverables / Schedule One fully functioning aluminum gooseneck service body installed on EN4132.
