CCP 250 (Accelerated Logix5000 Programmer Certificate Level 1)
STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements
The objective is to obtain and deliver advanced, instructor-led training for
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) through CCP250 (Accelerated Logix5000
Programmer Certificate Course Level 1). This training is intended for technicians
supporting wind tunnel facilities and associated test operations at NASA Langley
Research Center (LaRC). This course will strengthen workforce capability by
developing the essential competencies required to program, maintain, and
troubleshoot Allen-Bradley Logix5000 systems. These skills are critical for
sustaining reliable operations, reducing unplanned downtime, and ensuring safe,
compliant performance of automated control systems tied directly to mission-critical
test environments.
Training will take place onsite at LaRC allowing instruction to be fully aligned with
NASA safety directives, facility requirements, and OSHA-compliant practices
throughout the course
2. Characteristics and Scope
The vendor shall perform the following tasks:
Deliver an intensive five-day program that covers the following:
o Creating a Studio Logix Designer Project
o Configuring Modules in a Studio 5000 Logix Designer Project
o Creating User-Defined Data Type
o Identifying and Correcting Faults in a Logix5000 System
Provide hands-on instruction with practical exercises designed to reinforce key
concepts and build confidence in managing automated equipment. All of their
training labs are Allen-Bradley software and hardware
Provide Level 1 Programmer certification at the end of the training.
3. Vendor to Provide Training
The vendor selected for this effort is EECO Inc. EECO is the exclusive authorized
supplier and training provider for Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley equipment
in this region. Their trainers are uniquely qualified to deliver advanced
coursework on Allen-Bradley systems. The PLC systems being utilized at tunnel
facilities at Langley Research Center are almost exclusively Allen-Bradley
systems. EECO has demonstrated success conducting related training at LaRC,
including prior delivery of CCP250 training and current delivery of CCP300
(Accelerated Logix5000 Maintainer Certificate Level 1) training.
