Santa Teresa, NM 88008 June 12, 2026 Background: This project is for the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Surveillance Radar (WSR) radar site in Albuquerque, NM (ABQ) and Weather Forecast Office(s) (WFOs) located in Corpus Christi, TX (CRP) and Santa Teresa, NM (EPZ). Various systems at each site are in need of repair. Scope: Complete removal and replacement of ABQ WSR Bard air conditioners and repairs to CRP & EPZ WFO AC units listed below. The NWS requires projects be accomplished by means that lessens the impact to 24/ 7 operation and functions of the WFO and WSR. Coordination will need to meet current weather forecasting and weather conditions. -- 1 of 27 -- This will be a turn key project for removal, replacement and repairs from start to finish. It is highly recommended that the contractor schedules a site visit for physical inspection of existing conditions prior to submitting a quote. Provide all labor, tools, rigging, equipment, materials, testing, transportation, supervision, management and state and local permits necessary for completion of this project. 2. Provide qualified technicians with current HVAC licenses. 3. Sign in with local NWS staff when arriving on site each day. 4. Ensure safe work practices and compliance with all safety regulations. (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment PPE, Lock Out Tag Out LOTO etc.) 5. Test and ensure proper function of repaired or replaced equipment. 6. Restore the facility to its previous condition and remove all debris offsite. -- 2 of 27 -- CLIN 0001 ABQ WSR Site: 1. Replace existing 2ea 6 ton wall-mounted Packaged Air Conditioner (PAC) units- Bard Model#- W70A2-B09XX4XXX. Replace with brand name Bard or equal, based on specifications, matching supply and return vent penetrations, existing bolt patterns, and use of R454B refrigerant. Completely seal both supply and return vents and exterior perimeter. (Note: interior supply duct may need to be removed to provide access.) ABQ- Radar Shelter Bard Units 1 & 2 -- 3 of 27 -- ABQ- Inside Radar Shelter- Bard 1 & 2 supply and Return SUBMITTALS- ABQ: Submittal ID Description Type Due Date Approver SUB-ABQ-0001 Packaged Air Conditioner (PAC) Product Data & Specs Within 5 Days Post Award COR -- 4 of 27 -- CLIN 0002 CRP WFO Site: 1. Replace Fan Motor Assembly and Pressure Transducer on existing Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) unit #2 condenser unit- Trane-TR-SCS-MC-056-SEC-O1. All parts replaced shall be specific to the manufacturers specs and be functionally compatible with the current existing system (form-fit-function replacements). CRP- CRAC Condenser Unit-1 -- 5 of 27 -- 2. Replace shorted AC-2 condenser compressor on existing unit- Trane- TTA18044DAA01AS05. Perform system evacuation flushing to remove contaminated oil and replace the filter drier. All parts replaced shall be specific to the manufacturers specs and be functionally compatible with the current existing system (form-fit-function replacements). CRP- AC Condenser Unit- 2 -- 6 of 27 -- 3. Clean all ducts and vents for AC-1, 2 & 3 units in the WFO. Work shall be performed in accordance with National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards. a. Clean HVAC system components from the point where air enters the system to each point where air is discharged from the system. b. Clean HVAC system components as indicated on Drawings. c. Clean existing supply, return and exhaust air ducts in the building. d. Clean supply and return air ducts serviced by Air handling Units (AHU)- AHU1, AHU2 and AHU3. e. Clean registers, grilles, vents and diffusers. f. Clean reheat coils and supply air ducts downstream of reheat coils. g. Clean air handlers and associated existing return air ducts. h. Clean building exhaust systems that service men’s and women’s restrooms. i. Clean transfer fan unit between equipment and electrical rooms. j. Clean air handler fan coil units, cabinets, coils, and blowers located within fan coil units.
