846th Test Squadron

1.0 PURPOSE
The 704th Test Group (704 TG) mission is to be the premier provider of unique test and evaluation
capabilities relevant to tomorrow’s warfighter through world-class people improving technical excellence,
cost-effectiveness, and agility. The 846th Test Squadron (846 TS) is assigned to the 704 TG. The 846
TS operates the Holloman High Speed Test Track, a critical testing facility in the development of new
weapon and safety systems for the Department of Defense. The 846 TS requires the purchase of one,
RENISHAW RMP60 PROBE & RTS TOOL SETTER FOR MANFORD VHG-1000 to assure positional
accuracy of work piece in machining process and tool data accuracy for fabrication of rocket sled parts
and components, test articles and test track infrastructure.
2.0 SCOPE
The vendor shall deliver 1 new RENISHAW RMP60 PROBE & RTS TOOL SETTER FOR MANFORD
VHG-1000 that meets the following minimum requirements:
2.1 Physical requirements
2.1.1 RMP60-RTSNS-KIT; Includes: RMP60-QE probe kit; RTS-QE AA tool setter; mounting
bracket; RMI-QE (side exit) 15-meter cable; sealite 1 meter (x3); sealite fitting; 50 mm and 100
mm styli.

2.1.3 A-4012-0584 Mitsubishi Meldas Tool Setting Software
2.1.4 A-4012-0516 Mitsubishi Meldas Inspection Plus Software for Machining Centers

2.1.7 All travel and shipping expenses required for delivery and installation.
2.2 Operational requirements
2.2.1 The system shall meet or exceed the manufacturer's specified repeatability and accuracy for the
RMP60 probe and RTS tool setter upon installation.

3.0 MILESTONES
3.1 The vendor shall deliver, install, and ensure system acceptance no later than 120 days After Receipt
of Order (ARO).
4.0 DELIVERABLES
4.1 The vendor shall deliver all hardware and documentation to 846 TS/TGTOHM, Attn: Charles
Zamora at 1521 Test Track Road, building 1173, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.
4.2 The vendor shall provide a minimum one-year comprehensive warranty, covering all parts, labor,
and travel/shipping costs. The warranty period shall begin on the date of final system acceptance
by the government.
4.3 The vendor shall cover shipping and installation into 846TS facility, Bldg. 1173.
4.4 Acceptance Testing: The system will be considered accepted after it has been successfully
installed and passes a government-witnessed functional test demonstrating all capabilities
outlined by the manufacturer's specifications, including the functionality of the Mitsubishi
software.
