1.3 Government Furnished Material:
1.3.1 None.
1.4 Requirements:
1.4.1 Manufacture one ship set, 1 left hand (LH) and 1 right
hand (RH), propellers to match the geometry in Reference 1.2.1
and with the following characteristics:
1.4.1.1 90” Diameter x 87.05” Pitch @ 0.70R.
1.4.1.2 5 Blades.
1.4.1.3 0.6 EAR.
1.4.1.4 Material ABS Type 2 or Type CF-3.
1.4.1.5 6.4583” Standard SAE Bore.
1.4.1.6 16” Hub Length.
1.4.1.7 Puller Holes.
1.4.1.8 Anti-singing Edges.
1.4.1.9 Class I Tolerance.
1.4.2 Deviations to Reference 1.2.1:
1.4.2.1 Monobloc Style or bolt on.
1.4.2.2 The keyway shall align with the blade center axis of
blade #1.
1.4.3 Propellers shall be manufactured within the United States
of America. Proposal shall state the name of the manufacturer.
Manufacturer shall be an ABS certified foundry. Provide ABS
certification with proposal.
1.4.4 If bidder and manufacturer are not one and the same,
provide certification that bidder is an authorized supplier of
the manufacturer.

1.4.5 Proposal shall include ABS drawing approval with NOAA
access to project as oversight. Proposal shall include ABS
survey at time of manufacturing. NOAA will be responsible for
ABS survey at final acceptance of propellers.
1.4.6 Manufacture one set of edge gauges for inspection use.
1.4.7 Proposal shall include scrap credit for 2 EA propellers.
NOAA will ship scrap propellers following final acceptance of
new propellers. NOAA will be responsible for freight costs of
shipping scrap propellers.
1.4.8 Preserve and package both propellers for long term
storage in accordance with Reference 1.2.2, Level A.
1.4.9 Include in offer the monthly storage rate. Storage
location shall be capable of loading propellers onto transport
vehicle. NOAA will be responsible for coordinating pickup and
transport of propellers to installation location.
1.5 Quality Assurance:
1.5.1 Notify COR a minimum of 2 weeks before final acceptance
for inspection of the propellers with location for inspection.
1.5.2 COR and ABS shall witness NDT dye penetrant and static
balance test.
1.5.3 Provide a Propeller Drawing detailing the geometry and
design of each propeller:
1.5.3.1 Propeller Radius.
1.5.3.2 Blade Pitch.
1.5.3.3 Section Pitch.
1.5.3.4 Blade Chord Length at radius locations shown in
Reference 1.2.1.
1.5.3.5 Propeller Track.
1.5.3.6 VTI and NDT.
1.5.3.7 Material Composition.
1.5.3.8 Tables of offsets, match radius locations and
information in Reference 1.2.1.
1.5.3.9 Bolt arrangements (if appliable).
1.5.3.10 Hub geometry details (as appliable).
