Potable Water Deliveries Statement of Work for Water delivery for WFO Gray, Maine 1 Weather Lane Gray, Maine 04039 Office (207) 688-3221 1.0 INTRODUCTION The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is establishing a contract for purchasing and delivering potable water for the National Weather Service offices in Gray, ME as described herein. 2.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials (unless otherwise provided herein) necessary for purchasing potable water and delivering the water to the National Weather Service Forecast Office (1 Weather Lane Gray, ME). The National Weather Service Office is a 24-hour operation and must have potable water for the safety of its employees. 3. Equipment The breakdown of equipment shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of providing water delivery services. The government is not providing any equipment or materials. 4. Tank Connection/Coupling Requirements: Connection/Coupling Requirements: The tank will have a 3” cam lock male adaptor for a hose connection and will be threaded so it can easily be changed. 4. Delivery frequency Purchase potable water, deliver it to National Weather Service Forecast Office 1 Weather Lane Gray, Maine and fill the 10,000 underground water tank on an as needed basis. The estimated usage would require the tank to be filled approximately every 100 days. WFO Gray, Maine will call the vendor to schedule deliveries as needed. Once called the delivery needs to be made within seven (7) calendar days. Deliveries are not to exceed five (5) per period of performance. Invoices will be submitted in IPP.gov for each delivery and will be for the actual number of deliveries made to the National Weather Service. -- 1 of 2 -- The fill for the 10,000-gallon tank will be between 1 Weather Lane, Gray, Maine, the National Weather Service building and the parking lot. 5. Definition of Potable Water Potable water means the water must meet the Maine standards for safe drinking water. The government reserves the right at any given time to take a sample of the water prior to the tank being filled, for the purpose of sending it out to a laboratory for testing to ensure its safety. The government will pay for any laboratory testing of periodic samples it takes.
