Description
SCOPE OF WORK FOR INSTALLATION OF PULL TEST MACHINE
The description set forth below reflects those characteristics which are essential to the
minimum needs of the government. A new OEM ProofCert, LLC pull test machine was
purchased and needs to be installed in the production shop (Shop 72), located at SRF-JRMC
Detachment Sasebo, BLDG 480 on the 1st floor. This equipment is vital in the testing of weight
handling equipment supporting ship repair and maintenance.
1. Requirements:
SCOPE – This statement of work requires the contractor to provide the necessary
materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to install the pull test machine. The
contractor will provide operational testing/calibration of the pull test machine, and train
Government personnel in the operation of the pull test machine. The government shall
provide the following to the contractor –
1.1 General material handling/equipment lifting using forklift, pallet jack, and
overhead crane.
1.2 Operator for the material handling equipment.
1.3 Providing a receiving and shipping point address for tools/equipment.
1.4 Provide proper electrical service to the equipment.
1.5 Provide miscellaneous hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hex keys, hammers, small wire
brush for cleaning foundation holes, screwdrivers, powered screwdriver with driver
bits to remove crating).
1.6 Provide rotary hammer drill and proper size bit for drilling foundation holes and a
vacuum to assist during clean up.
1.7 Provide miscellaneous shims (if needed) to correct inconsistencies in the flatness of
the foundation.
1.8 Provide the correct amount of hydraulic oil to fill the reservoir, as well as a means for
dispensing the oil.
2. Installation Plan:
The contractor shall provide a Planned Maintenance Schedule to include scheduling, the
tools and equipment required to conduct the installation, calibration, and operational
testing of the pull test machine.

3. Transportation/Meals/Lodging:
The contractor shall be responsible for their own transportation to and from SRF-JRMC
Sasebo Detachment, Japan. The contractor shall be responsible for their own meals and
lodging while performing the requirements noted in this scope of work.
