STATEMENT OF WORK
1. SCOPE
1.1. Title: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) has a requirement for preventative maintenance (PM) and repair
of eight (8) vessels and associated trailers.
1.2. Location of Work: All work is to be primarily completed at the Contractor’s maintenance facility unless the
repair is minor and can be performed onsite without disrupting base operations.

2. REFERENCES
2.1. Not Applicable.
3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Vessel preventative maintenance, unplanned repairs, and emergency repairs to the boats, trailers, and motors.
See below for list of hulls, trailers, and motors involved. The unplanned and emergency repair work
associated with this contract is a NOT TO EXCEED amount. Work performed under this contract, associated
with the not to exceed amount, must be approved and authorized by a contracting officer in accordance with
paragraph 5 prior to proceeding with work.
3.2. Upon discovery of any vessel requiring maintenance, including regular maintenance cycles, operational
findings both during vessel operation and pier side pre-operational checks, PNS will contact the contractor to
discuss the issue. Items for discussion include known identified issues, scheduled maintenance issues and
equipment identified during operational use.
3.3. PNS will be responsible for transporting to and from the vendor maintenance facility. Capability for pickup
and delivery of boats to vendor facility via water is required. Government provided inspection forms are to
be completed for each request of the maintenance requirements associated with the items identified in
paragraph 1.3. Capability for sea trials of boats upon completion of work is required.
3.4. The Contractor shall ensure the designated boat(s) and trailer(s) are maintained in a state of operational
readiness. The boat(s) shall be made accessible and available for use by Government personnel when
requested. The Contractor shall have the boat(s) available within 48 hours of receiving a request from the
TPOC/COR.
