Not repairing the fixtures will lead to complete failure which will result in airfield closure during low visibility. Completing this project and changing to LED will save the base an average of $10k in energy costs per year. 2.0 OBJECTIVES This purchase will completely modernize the runway edge lighting infrastructure by procuring a fully FAA-compliant, unified Light Emitting Diode (LED) runway fixture system, eliminating mixed-technology operational risks, and establishing a highly efficient, standardized end state. 3.0 DECRIPTION OF WORK Provide the lights shown in the table.
