The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers will be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. Interested parties are highly encouraged to visit the site(s) before submitting an offer. 2.0 Purpose The purpose of this Contract is for a single Contractor to provide maintenance of forest roads and administrative use roads of the Umpqua National Forest. 3.0 Description of Services This work includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and all incidentals necessary to provide road surface maintenance including watering and compaction, removal and end haul of materials, roadside brushing and logout services. The Contractor will provide services in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS), and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. 4.0 Place of performance and Accessibility Work will be performed on the Umpqua National Forest: North Umpqua Ranger Station is located in Glide, Oregon, 17 miles east of Roseburg, OR.
