Statement of Work Procurement Request #: Period of Performance: 08/31/2026 to 08/30/2029 Title: P/ACE MDQ Plus Capillary Electrophoresis System SECTION 1 – BACKGROUND The Biotechnology Core Facility Branch (BCFB) within the Division of Core Laboratory Services and Response (DCLSR) serves as a core laboratory resource for CDC researchers. Within BCFB, the DNA section provides rapid analytical support for synthetic oligonucleotides manufactured in-house for CDC programs. These oligonucleotides are used in outbreak investigations, research activities, and the production of FDA-approved large-scale kits for the Laboratory Response Network (LRN) and other PCR assays. The AB SCIEX PACE MDQ Plus Capillary Electrophoresis System is used to perform analytical testing of in-house synthesized DNA. The DNA team synthesizes and analyzes approximately 8,000 oligonucleotides annually, and all of these oligonucleotides undergo quality control analysis on the AB SCIEX PACE MDQ Plus Capillary systems. To continue providing this critical service to CDC researchers and to comply with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, the instrument must be covered by a maintenance agreement. This ensures that annual preventive maintenance is performed by trained service engineers and that repairs are completed promptly using original manufacturer parts whenever the instrument becomes inoperable. SECTION 12 – EVALUATION FACTORS Potential vendors must be able to provide full maintenance of the AB-SCIEX MDQ Plus Capillary system within 48 hours, have direct and expedient access to OEM parts, and provide full telephone support. The 32 KARAT software for the MDQ system needs to be covered The parts for MDQ including interface assay and computer boards for communication need to be covered. Baseline Security Requirements: Applicability.
