C C RD Elevator Maintenance
SCOPE OF CONTRACT: This request consists of annual safety testing and routine
maintenance on the office elevator belonging to the USDA Forest Service, Clear Creek Ranger
District at 101 Highway 103, Idaho Springs, Colorado 80452.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
Clear Creek Ranger District Office – Elevator Maintenance
1. Complete annual safety testing according to the Colorado conveyance regulations, industry code
and the standards adopted in statute and regulation
2. Conduct routine maintenance visits to examine, maintain, and adjust components per
manufacturer recommendations
3. Repair or replace components as necessary due to normal wear and tear.
4. Elevator phone monitoring

Clear Creek District Office – The office is in Idaho Springs, Colorado, on the southwestern
side of the intersection of I-70 and CO-103. From Denver, travel approximately 34 miles west to
Idaho Spring, exit 240. From the exit, turn south onto CO-103 and travel approximately 650 ft.
The office will be to the right, on the north side of the roadway.

STATEMENT OF WORK

CONTRACT TIME/PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The contract shall extend one year from
the time of award with the option to extend annually up to a total contract time of five years.
Base Period: Sept 29, 2026 – Sept 28, 2027
Option One: Sept 29, 2027 – Sept 28, 2028
Option Two: Sept 29, 2028 – Sept 28, 2029
Option Three: Sept 29, 2029 – Sept 28, 2030
Option Four: Sept 29, 2030 – Sept 28, 2031
52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. (Nov 1999)
The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the
rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to
prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised
more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months. The
Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days
before contract expiration.
