Description
STATEMENT OF WORK
1. General
1.1.The contractor shall comply with Federal, State, local laws and regulations applicable to
the performance of this contract.
2. Background
2.1.The Central Texas VA Health Care System (CTVHCS) Pharmacy Service currently
operates 80+ Pyxis automated medication dispensing devices throughout Temple, Waco,
Austin, and all associated Community‑Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These devices
improve accuracy and control of medication dispensing and support timely fulfillment of
medication orders for inpatient wards, clinics, and outpatient care areas across Central
Texas.
2.2.CTVHCS has identified a need to purchase eight (8) additional Pyxis MedStation units to
support newly established patient care areas. These additional devices ensure continuity
of pharmacy operations by enabling secure, safe, and efficient decentralized medication
management.
3. Objective
3.1.To procure 7 Pyxis units to Waco inpatient and outpatient care areas and 1 Pyxis unit to
Austin for radiology patient care area.
4. Scope of Work
4.1.Central Texas VA Health Care System requires the purchase of 8 pyxis devices to be
utilized for additional inpatient and outpatient areas in Austin and Waco.
4.2.This requirement includes:
• Delivery of all equipment
• Installation and programming of equipment
• Testing and verification of proper operation

(a) The Government hereby provides notice, and Contractor hereby acknowledges receipt
that Government personnel observe the listed days as holidays:

Memorial Day Last Monday in May
Juneteenth 19th of June
Independence Day July 4th
Labor Day First Monday in September

(b) In addition to the days designated as holidays, the Government observes the
following days:
a. Any other day designated by Federal Statute
b. Any other day designated by Executive Order
c. Any other day designated by the President’s Proclamation
It is understood and agreed between the Government and the Contractor that observance of such
days by Government personnel shall not otherwise be a reason for an additional period of
performance, or entitlement of compensation. In the event the Contractor's personnel work
during the holiday, they may be reimbursed by the Contractor, however, no form of holiday or
other premium compensation will be reimbursed either as a direct or indirect cost, other than
their normal compensation for the time worked.
