Subject of the Contract The object of this contract concerns the works relating to: • the replacement of a segment of the sewer network with insufficient hydraulic capacity and obsolete characteristics, including the related manholes connected to the main stormwater drainage and combined sewer system of Villa Taverna • the optimization of the sewer network section through the elimination of an intermediate handhole. The works are located within the pertinent area of the park known as "VILLA TAVERNA." The works covered by this contract, as described in this Scope of Work (hereinafter "SOW"), must be complete in all their parts — including all elements necessary for a complete and workmanlike execution, even if not expressly mentioned — and must be suitable for meeting the anticipated operational requirements. For a complete identification of the works, please refer to the technical conditions set forth in this SOW and to the accontractoring drawings 1.2. General Requirements of the Work All the works described in the descriptive and graphic documents must be carried out in the most scrupulous observance of the Laws, rules and regulations, in any case, in a workmanlike manner. All non-reusable removal materials contemplated in this contract shall be transported to authorized public landfills, or to locations indicated by the Client, at the sole care and expense of the Contractor. Appropriate transport documentation and proof of delivery to authorized disposal facilities must be provided; failing this, the works shall not be considered compensated. It also remains established that all costs relating to site inspections and surveys that the Contractor deems most appropriate during the construction site or temporary site inspection are included and compensated for in the lump-sum prices referred to in this contract. Prior to the start of work, the Contractor must provide the Client with: within days 30 (thirty) calendar and consecutive days, including holidays and semi-holidays from the date of the Notice to Proceed: a construction and assembly plan, complete in every detail, based on the tender documents and signed by the Contractor's technical staff responsible for its preparation; a detailed work schedule; Upon delivery of the works, the Contractor will arrange at its own expense to organize and set up the site within the area dedicated to the works, being responsible for the custody of means and materials. All charges relating to demolitions, removals and clearing of bushes of the relative areas of intervention must be considered included and compensated, including handling on site, any lifting and lowering, loading and transport to landfill of resulting materials and download charges. -- 3 of 46 -- 4 All the charges relating to the preparation of all the temporary works, such as delimitations and anything else necessary for the safe execution of the works relating to the intervention in question, are also to be considered included and compensated in the lump sum prices. Any material used (“gravel, scree…”) to make the site area suitable for vehicles is included. With regard to removals and excavations, these must be carried out in an orderly manner and with the necessary precautions, in order to prevent any injury to workers and to avoid inconvenience or disturbance to the performance of activities within the area. The production of dust must be limited, therefore the resulting materials must be, if necessary, covered and contained in "removable" containers until they are disposed of.
