DELUGE SYSTEM EMERGENCY FEED EQUIPMENT
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
1.0 SCOPE
This specification pertains to the purchase of equipment for ESQ1 and SU3 Motor Control Centers (MCCs) to enable an emergency feed to the fire deluge pumps at Dworshak Dam. The Contractor shall supply, package, and deliver the new parts and these parts will be installed by the Government.
The MCC breakers and shunt trips shall match existing equipment. The cable tray equipment shall be Eaton B-Line to match existing cable tray equipment.
2.0 ELECTRICAL FEEDER MATERIALS BID ITEM LIST
The Motor Control Center ESQ1 and SU3 breakers shall be a Square D (by Schneider Electric) Model 6 Motor Control Center breaker to match existing equipment.
2.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Equipment provided under this contract shall meet the following salient requirements:
2.1.1 Model 6 Motor Control Center 300A Complete Bucket Assemblies (Quantity 2) (CLIN 0001):

Bucket Requirements
All Buckets shall be draw-out style.
Nameplates shall be black surface, white letters, and stainless-steel nameplate screws.
All Control and Annunciation Circuits shall be designed for 125VDC .
Shall include a means for locking out the device for Hazardous Energy Control.
Complete with terminations wired from the breaker.
Circuit Breaker Requirements
The following additional requirements apply for circuit breakers:
Shall include auxiliary A/B contacts for control wiring.
Shall include a minimum of one alarm contact for remote annunciation for when breaker trips.
Shall be supplied lugs shall be capable of accepting a minimum of 350MCM cables per phase and neutral on the line side of the circuit breaker.
Shall have capabilities of being shunt tripped
Electrical Requirements
System voltage is 480 VAC, 3 Phase, 3 Wire, 60 Hz
All Electrical Components: Designed for a Max Available Fault Current (RMS) of 65 kA
Wiring shall be NEMA Type 1B
All Control and Annunciation Circuits shall be designed for 125VDC
Shall meet the requirements of NFPA 70, where NFPA 70 standards are established for those items.
Physical Requirements
All components, including Buckets, Circuit Breakers, shall be new and unused and shall be manufactured by Square D for use in Model 6 MCCs
Shall meet the requirements of UL, where UL standards are established for those items.
2.1.2 Square D Shunt Trip Module for Molded Case Breakers (Quantity 10):
System Information Circuit Breaker Accessory, PowerPacT breaker H/J/L frames, shunt trip, 125VDC control voltage.
2.1.3 350 MCM 1-3 Conductor TC Rated (Quantity 250 ft.):
System Information XHHW-2 600V UL Type TC Tray Cable, XLPE, fully annealed rated copper conductors. One conductor containing 3-350 MCM conductors, colored 1x Orange / 1x Brown / 1x Yellow, and one 3 AWG Green grounding conductor, uniformly bundled or twisted together for efficient pulling. Overall wire bundle length to be 250 feet.
2.1.3 3” Rigid Metallic (RMC) Conduit (Quantity 6):
System Information 3” Rigid Metallic Conduit. Overall length to be 60 feet – 6, 10’ long pieces.

3.0 SUBMITTALS
3.1 POST-AWARD SUBMITTALS
Within 14 calendar days from contract award, the Contractor shall provide drawings and product data of the equipment for government review to verify it meets the salient requirements prior to submitting order of equipment to the factory.
3.2 FINAL DELIVERY SUBMITTALS
At or before delivery, the Contractor shall provide the following for each product provided:

4.0 SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY
Deliveries shall be coordinated with the Government at least fourteen calendar days in advance. The equipment shall be delivered FOB Destination to Dworshak Powerhouse no later than December 22, 2022. The Contractor shall be responsible for packing and shipping the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to the Dworshak Project. Delivery shall be made during Dworshak Project Normal Operating Hours, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Pacific), excluding federal holidays.
