What this opportunity is
The Department of Defense is seeking industry feedback through a Sources Sought notice for the installation of a camera surveillance system in common areas of dormitories at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This opportunity is relevant for small businesses in the security system installation sector, particularly those with expertise in non-networked surveillance solutions. Interested vendors should note that this is not a solicitation for bids but rather a request for information to refine project specifications, making it essential to track developments rather than prepare immediate proposals.

Description
Eielson Air Force Base is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit industry feedback on the attached draft statement of work to install a camera survaillance system within our dorms' common areas. As part of our ongoing market research, the Government is seeking input from industry subject matter experts to help refine this requirement, identify potential ambiguities, and ensure our specifications align with current commercial best practices. Vendors are highly encouraged to review the draft SOW and provide comments, recommended technical additions, or alternative solutions that would enhance system reliability, security, and maintainability. The intent is to describe a camera system on multi level buidlings. The system has to remain off the network, cover all common areas, and maintain recording for at least 4 hours when the power fails.
