Department of Air Force (DAF) Carpet Program Purchase within
Furniture Package
In the Department of the Air Force, category management is a business approach focused on an
organization’s mission. The bottom line is to deliver more mission capability per dollar spent.
There are several Strategic Sourcing programs in place, Carpet. These programs utilize Small
Businesses and are compliant with the Buy American Act.
For those products that are part of this solicitation, offerors are encouraged to utilize government
supply sources under clauses 52.251-1 and 252.251-7000. If an offeror chooses to utilize these
sources and receives the award, the Contracting Officer will issue an authorization to purchase as
required in DFARS PGI 251.102.
You must include a copy of the quote you received so that the Contracting Officer can ensure the
selected vendor has met the pricing in his award.
Since the automated procedures set up for DAF units to use are not available to you, the list of
vendors, award numbers and POCs are provided in this solicitation. Please use this list to obtain
your quotes and make your selection.
See specified Carpet selection (Carpet Cutsheet or SOW) from one of the Seven (Tier I)
Manufacturer below and negotiate with an installer (Tier II) on labor/installation cost. Once the
negotiation is complete, the installer shall provide a quote that includes the price for the carpet
and adhesives per square yard, so that the CONS can validate that prices quoted are at or below
the NTE prices set in the Tier I contracts.
