A1 = Due to the nature of service and the short turn around for award, there will not be a site visit. Q2 = What is the estimated average of items per delivery? A2 = It varies month to month as well as if the delivery is on or off base. Please see Appendix B of the PWS to see the historical workload summary. Q3 = Do you have approximate distances from the commercial gate to Family Housing Warehouse (Bldg. 200) and from there the average distances from the warehouse to delivery locations? Is it feasible for you to provide a picture of the staging area where the contractor will pick up and furniture for delivery? A3 = -Commercial Gate (North Gate) to Family Housing Warehouse (Bldg. 200) = 2 Kilometers -Family Housing Warehouse to most of family housing = 1 to 1.5 Kilometers *The vast majority of housing is located on MCAS Iwakuni* *There is a small housing base located roughly 6 Kilometers away from the Family Housing Warehouse* Q4 = Is installation of appliances part of the contracts? A4 = Yes, the installation of appliances will be part of the contract, see PWS paragraph 3.5.1. and 3.5.2. Q5 = How will payment be made for services performed? A5 = Payment will be made using Wide Area Workflow (an electronic funds transfer) Q6 = Are foreign national (non-Japanese) drivers and movers allowed on the installation? A6 = Anti-Terrorism Measures are in place at all U.S. military installations. There is a possibility that drivers and/or movers may be denied entry onto the installation based on their country of origin. Q7 = How is each item size calculated? A7 = Please see Appendix A of the PWS for a breakdown. Q8 = Is it possible to park the trucks on the base during the week? A8 = PMO has the ability to provide waivers for vehicles to remain on base during the week provided they are not parked in a manner that bother people parking at their homes or work sites. Q9 = If no pictures of the delivery/pick-up locations can be provided, can measurements be provided for stairwells where elevators are not available? Q9 = The smallest housing units have stairwells that are 100 Centimeters wide. The Family Housing Warehouse have no issues with loaner furniture being moved in and out of housing units. -- 1 of 1 --
