STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR WIRELESS HEADSET SYSTEM FOR 3 FIRE TRUCKS SERVICES AT COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, MISSISSIPPI 8 JUNE 2026 Attachment - 2 FA302226Q0322 Fire Truck Wireless Headset Statement of Work -- 1 of 4 -- 1 | P a g e STATEMENT OF WORK Wireless Headset System for 3 Fire Trucks 1. SCOPE: This is a contract for the procurement of a complete wireless headset system and the incidental services required for its installation on three (3) Columbus AFB fire apparatus (Engine 6, Engine 7, and Rescue 5). The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to remove the existing wired headset system and subsequently deliver, install, and test the new system as defined within this Statement of Work. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the requirement herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. 2. Place of Performance: Building 998, Fire Department, 1024 Independence Ave, Columbus AFB, MS. 2.1 Period of Performance: The period of performance will be 45 days after award. 2.0 SPECIFIC REQUIRMENTS: 2.1 Equipment Requirements: The contractor shall provide a complete wireless intercom system that meets or exceeds the following minimum specifications for each of the three vehicles. 2.1.1 System Composition for installation: Each fire apparatus shall consist of the wireless headset system: • (1) Wireless Base Station • (1) Digital Intercom Control Unit • (1) Remote Intercom Head • (1) Radio Interface Cable • Under-Helmet Wireless Headsets (Quantity per vehicle specified in 2.2) • Headset Hanger Hooks (Quantity per vehicle specified in 2.2) 2.1.2 Equipment Specifications: • Under-Helmet Wireless Headsets: The system must include wireless, dual-ear headsets designed to be worn comfortably and securely under a standard structural firefighting helmet Each headset must provide certified Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of at least 22 dB in accordance with ANSI S3.19-1974. Headsets must feature an integrated, easily accessible push-to-talk (PTT) button for activating radio transmission. • Wireless Base Station: The system shall include a vehicle-mounted wireless base station that serves as the central connection point for the headsets. Each base station must support a minimum of five (5) wireless headsets simultaneously and provide a direct interface for transmission over the vehicle's primary mobile radio, which is a Motorola All Band APX 8500 mobile radio. • Digital Intercom Control Unit: A primary digital intercom control unit must be provided for each vehicle. The unit shall be capable of integrating with at least one (1) mobile radio, allowing for full-duplex communication among all connected crew members and radio traffic monitoring. • Remote Intercom Head A secondary, remote-mounted intercom control head must be provided for each vehicle. This unit shall allow for full system control from a position separate from the primary control unit (e.g., driver's position or officer's seat). • Radio Interface Cable: must supply an appropriate interface cable to connect the proposed intercom system to the department's existing Motorola All Band APX 8500 mobile radios. The cable must be of sufficient length (minimum 4 feet) and durability for vehicle installation. None 2.6 Hours of Operation 2.7 Normal Working Hours The Contractor shall perform contract services under this SOW between the hours of 0700 to 1600, Monday through Friday, except on Federal Holidays or when the government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar government-directed facility closings. (State any special hours/days required) The Contractor must always maintain an adequate workforce for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined in this SOW when the Government is not closed for the above reasons. 2.8 Federal Holidays a. 1 January (New Year’s Day) b. 3rd Monday in January (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) c. 3rd Monday in February (Presidents Day) d. Warranty: There will be a one-year manufacturer warranty on all equipment and a one-year warranty on the installation labor. 2.10. Training: Training will be conducted for one hour going over the proper operation, care and basic troubleshooting of the system, 4 people will be trained, no manuals or materials required. Inspection and Acceptance: The Government will conduct a final inspection and acceptance test upon notification from the contractor that the work is complete. The process will occur on each of the three vehicles and will include, at a minimum: • A visual inspection of the installation workmanship to ensure it is clean, professional, and has not caused any damage to the vehicles. • A functional test, performed jointly by the contracto…
