STATEMENT OF WORK
for
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF FURNITURE
at
PUGET SOUND NAVAL SHIPYARD & INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE FACILITY (PSNS&IMF)

1. SCOPE - This statement of work summarizes those characteristics that are essential to meet the minimum
Government need for future on-site installations throughout Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate
Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Bremerton, WA.
1.1 This furniture Kit is to include the material delivery, and installation of the material as specified
herein. The vendor must provide the Bill of Materials (BOM), color renderings, and product specifications
with their solicitation response.
1.2 It is the Government’s intent that the Contractor, awarded this contract, be responsible for the
accomplishment of all work detailed by this specification.
1.3 All products must meet BIFMA standards and have a Scientific Certification Systems (SCS Global)
Indoor Advantage Gold Certification for environmental, sustainability and food quality certification,
auditing, testing and standards development.
2. FURNITURE REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 This requirement consists of 105 cubicles from multiple manufacturers:
1) Swiftspace (Model: Shift) - mobile workstations
2) SCS-ISS Worldwide (Model: Grafia, MX) - storage components
In accordance with the Kit Bill of Materials (BOM) “Kit# 64860-26-B81SWIFTEX. The furniture
breakdown and specifications are as follows:
2.1.1 Swiftspace Shift Mobile Workstation - 6 foot by 8 foot (6’x8’) 48 sq. ft. minimum cubicles.
Locking devices per cubicle shall be keyed alike. Electrical power components, linking plates, magnetic
whiteboards, pencil cups, and acoustic panel accessories shall be included.
2.1.2 SCS-ISS Storage Components and Installation Hardware.
A. Laminate Wardrobe File/File Tower Cabinet, 24” Wx24” Dx65”H, with adjustable glides
B. Metal Case Mobile Box/File Pedestal w/seat cushion and laminate face, 16” Wx20”
Dx24” H.
C. Power & Data service pole 12.5ft high; data faceplates and ports; USB lightning cables.
3. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 The contractor shall be responsible for the following:
3.1.1 PHYSICAL WORK SITE: Location Naval Base Kitsap, inside the Controlled Industrial Area.
Delivery date is currently undetermined therefore contractor offsite storage is required for up to 6 months.
This requires additional handling of material.
3.1.2 Receive, deliver, assemble, install, groom, and operationally test all workstations and
furniture. Installation and completion of work must be accomplished through a single-phase approach.
PSNS&IMF Code 900F Project Manager will collaborate with the Contractor to schedule installation.

3.1.3 Proper removal and/or disposal of all waste, materials, and packing generated.
3.1.4 Furnish labor and material handling equipment for off-loading and placing items within
reasonable conditions and unforeseen situations.
3.1.5 Include and install all furniture mounting, installation, trim and finish material and accessories
listed on the BOM.
4. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Ensure the building space and managers have all been briefed about job expectations to ensure
safety of all employees in, near or around production of project. The Government will identify location of
material off-load, laydown and vehicle delivery location at the time of site visit.
4.2 GOVERNMENT CONSTRAINTS:
4.2.1 IT support requires a 60-day lead-time for data wall cabling removal and installation.
4.2.2 Union notification is required if employees are temporarily relocated for greater than 30 days.
5. MISCELLANEOUS
5.1 METHODS AND SCHEDULES: The work shall be executed in a manner and at such times as to
cause the least practicable disturbance to the occupants of the buildings and normal activities of the
PSNS&IMF.
5.2 PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK: The Contractor representative(s) shall meet in conference
with the PSNS&IMF Contracting Officer (KO) or Contracting Officer Representative (COR), shop
supervision, and other necessary PSNS&IMF personnel to discuss and develop mutual understandings
relative to safety, methods and schedules, security, waste management and any other subject necessary for
a smooth and successful operation.
5.3 SHIPPING AND PHYSICAL WORK SITE
5.3.1 SHIPPING ADDRESS:
The "Ship/Deliver To" address on the Bill of Lading (B/L) should include the JML number as
shown below.

5.3.2 CONDITIONS: This building has an inaccessible loading dock due to construction, therefore
a delivery truck with a liftgate is recommended. A freight elevator may be available to move furniture
between floors.
5.4 ADMITTANCE TO THE WORK SITE: Upon contract award, employees or representatives of
the Contractor will require access to the PSNS&IMF Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) and shall be
admitted to the work site only after they have been issued a Security Pass/ID Badge at Building 981.
NOTICE: Persons who are currently on probation or parole from a felony conviction cannot
qualify for a Security Pass/ID Badge and will be denied access to the PSNS&IMF CIA.

5.4.1 To obtain access to Naval Base Kitsap – Bremerton, refer to the security section of the issued
contract.
5.4.2 Ten (10) business days prior to an on-site visits/installation, the Contractor shall complete the
visitor information portion of the PSNS&IMF “Visitor Badge Request”, PSNS Form 5512/127, and if a
vehicle is deemed necessary by the COR, a “Vehicle Pass Request for Access to the Controlled Industrial
Area (CIA)”, PSNS&IMF Form 5530/25.
