Performance Work Statement (PWS) Renishaw AM400 Service and Maintenance Agreement 05 August 2026 C.1 Background The Army Research Directorate (ARD) of the DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL) currently owns a machine called the Renishaw machine, reference contract number: W911QX18F0001. This machine, including related components, provides support to ARL’s Essential Research Program (ERP): Science of Additive. Manufacturing for the Next Generation of Munitions. The purpose of this procurement is to purchase a one (1) base-year service and maintenance agreement from Renishaw, Inc. (Renishaw) to maintain the Renishaw machine to the standards of proper machine condition and performance, to receive the upgrades needed, and to ensure that research continues without delay or interruption. C.2 Objective To keep the Renishaw AM400 machine up to proper function and utilize all capacities, with replacement of required parts and include a one (1) year warranty. The Government requires a service and maintenance agreement with Renishaw Inc. to maintain the Renishaw machine to the standards of proper machine condition and performance for current and future research projects at DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005). C.3 Requirements C.3.1 The Contractor shall provide two (2) on-site preventative maintenance visits for one (1) year period at DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. C.3.2 The Contractor shall provide two (2) preventative maintenance visits scheduled within contract period. Free service and operation training during visit. Preventative maintenance visits include inspection and replacement of specific wear components, full machine calibration, required replacements of system oxygen sensors, and written documentation of all testing results. A preventative maintenance plan includes a 5% discount on wear and spare parts for machines. C.3.3 The Contractor shall provide additional spare parts and services for repairs not listed on plan with standard pricing. All replaced parts covered 12 months of warranty. C.3.4 The Contractor shall schedule the first service visit no later than six (6) months of receiving the purchase order. C.4. Antiterrorism/Operational Security (AT/OPSEC) C.4.1 Access and general protection/security policy and procedures. This standard language is for contractor employees with an area of performance within Amry controlled installation, facility, or area. Contractor and all associated sub-contractors’ employees shall provide all information required for background checks to meet installation access -- 1 of 3 -- requirements to be accomplished by installation Provost Marshal Office, Director of Emergency Services or Security Office. The contractor workforce must comply with all personal identity verification requirements (FAR clause 52.204.9, Personal Identify Verification of Contractor Personnel) as directed by DoD, HQDA and/or local policy. In addition to the changes otherwise authorized by the changes clause of this contract, should the Force Protection Condition (FPCON) at any individual facility or installation change, the Government may require changes in contractor security matters or processes. C.5 Foreign Nationals Restrictions C.5.1 For ARL The Contractor shall not use foreign nationals on this contract unless approved by the ARL Analysis Center Security Office. Any foreign nationals must be approved prior to initiating work under this project or subcontract. The following information is required when requesting approval for foreign national support: full name, date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, registration number, port of entry, photocopy of the work visa, permanent resident card or green card, abbreviated Curriculum Vitae, a sole source justification, and description of position in which employee will be utilized. These documents will be submitted to the ARL Analysis Center Security Office for approval. Previously approved foreign nationals must be re-approved if the nature of their work under this contract differs from that performed under the prior year's contract. C.5.2 For DEVCOM: The Contractor shall not use foreign nationals on this contract unless approved by the DEVCOM Analysis Center Security Office. Any foreign nationals must be approved prior to initiating work under this project or subcontract. The following information is required when requesting approval for foreign national support: full name, date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, registration number, port of entry, photocopy of the work visa, permanent resident card or green card, abbreviated Curriculum Vitae, a sole source justification, and description of position in which employee will be utilized. These documents will be submitted to the DEVCOM Analysis Center Security Office for approval.
