Description

STATEMENT OF WORK 1. Introduction The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision and other items services necessary to perform the necessary maintenance, repairs, support and software updates as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The Contractor shall perform to the standards in the SOW. Background: Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) has a mission requirement to provide quality medical care to patients. To meet this requirement, NHCP is required to maintain all equipment ready for use for surgical and clinical procedures. Medical equipment must be maintained at peak efficiency with little to no down time to meet the demands of mission requirements. In support of quality efficiency, all government-owned Pentacam equipment requires qualified Technicians who can understand the complex medical equipment and provide immediate solutions and/or replacements needed. 2. Description of Services Preventive Maintenance: Preventative maintenance (PM) services shall be performed one time annually. The Ophthalmology Department with the Biomed Department are responsible for scheduling the service. If the service is not scheduled within the year, no refunds will be granted. Contractor will pay the costs for any parts which the service technician deems require replacement, except that parts damaged by gross negligence or misuse are excluded. • Perform service repair/PM to industry standard. • Only FULLY QUALIFIED FIELD ENGINEERS and TECHNICIANS who have gone through original equipment manufacturer (OEM) shall be employed in the performance of any and all work performed under this contract. • Make repairs to the extent necessary to ensure a functional system that will efficiently nerve its intended purpose and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Wear and tear parts check according to manufacturer’s guidelines during system inspection and calibration included. Repairs: Repairs within the period of performance must be prioritized by the Contractor and shall be -- 1 of 2 -- arranged in a timely manner as noted above. Telephonic technical support shall be provided immediately as to assess or troubleshoot matter or issue and coordinate repair services, when necessary. Repair services, when necessary, best effort shall be done to schedule within a 24-hour period from first notification made to the Contractor. Report of repairs and services shall be made available upon completion of work performed prior to checking out. • NHCP Biomedical Engineering will provide the initial assessment. • Notify the medical repair branch immediately upon receipt of OEM or Replacement parts/equipment safety recalls notices. • Ensure that original design and functional capabilities will not be changed, modified, or altered unless the medical repair branch authorizes such changes. • Provide suitable OEM recommended repair equipment/tools required for the satisfactory execution of all repairs made. • Furnish manufacturer OEM approved lubricants and lubricate wear points within the equipment. • Extend to the Government all commercial warranties on replacement parts, consistent with standard industry practices. Replacement Parts: All replacement parts needed during PM service or repair services must be provided by Contractor. Consumables needed shall be noted before scheduling service to ensure these are available for Contractor upon arrival to perform service(s). Software Updates: Service Hotline, Technical Phone Support and Remote Services will be available for technical, application and connection issues, sources of malfunction, software updates, technical emergencies. Field Service Reports: Contractor sends a completed field service report upon completion of work performed prior to checking out. 3. Invoicing and Payment Submission: • Invoices must reference the contract number and be submitted electronically via the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system in accordance with the terms of the contract. -- 2 of 2 --
