Labmaster Universal 175 two-point contact instrument

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Title: Labmaster Universal 175 1.0 SCOPE: Navy requires purchase of new calibrated two-point contact instrument with radial clearance measurement capability. The instrument will come calibrated with traceability to a national standard, in turn having traceability to ISO, giving technical credibility to dimensional measurements taken. 2.0 TASK: The Labmaster Universal 175 accomplishes both dimensional measurements to a resolution of millionths of an inch (0.000001 inches) and radial clearance to a resolution of millionths of an inch (0.000001 inches). MIL-DTL-17931F lists tolerances at +/- 0.0001 inches for dimensions and approximately +/- 0.0003 inches for radial play. These tolerances dictate a minimum level of resolution of 0.00001 inches (10 millionths of an inch), or better if a machine is able to go out more decimal places. 3.0 MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: Contractor shall provide all hardware and software required to conduct dimensional and radial clearance measurements of precision ball bearings.
