ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION CUSTOMER 192d Wing Civil Engineering, Virginia Air National Guard LOCATION 200th Combat Weather Flight 6025 Beulah Rd Sandston, VA 23150 PROJECT OBJECTIVES The purpose of this project is to make electrical repairs, replace existing fluorescent/incandescent lights and ballasts with LEDs as described in Section 2.0. Contractor will ensure that existing finishes, drywall and adjacent surfaces remain free of damage as noted in Section 2.0. WORK HOURS Work hours are Monday through Friday 0800-1530 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The Government's Period of Performance is sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). POINT OF CONTACT (POC) Contracting Officer: MSgt Orlando Loaiza Project Manager/Contracting Officer Representative (COR): Susan Dyer 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK The work herein includes the furnishing of all materials and equipment and performing all labor for the work indicated by the statement of work listed below. All work shall conform to those standards stipulated in the building code, mechanical code, and electrical code applicable in the local jurisdiction. Any deviation from the manufacturer’s installation requirements must be approved prior to construction. All stated quantities are required to be field verified. DIMENSIONS & REQUIREMENTS Quotes shall include all testing, materials, labor and equipment required to perform the work and shall include updates to electrical panel schedule as needed and prior to Project Close Out. All quantities and dimensions stated are approximate, Contractor required to field verify prior to ordering product or beginning work on site. 2.1.1. BASE BID – Electrical Work: INSTALL NEW ELEC CIRCUITS: Install two (2) new circuits and provide a total of four (4) new standard duplex convenience receptacles (20A, 120V). Outlets will be field located by Owner prior to installation. Pricing shall consider high ceilings at three (3) locations on site – approx. 10’-15’ AFF. (SEE ATTACHMENT 5.3); Contractor will ensure that drywall work is performed, as required to match existing level 4 finish and will provide paint to match existing as required. REPAIR EXTERIOR FLOOD LIGHT: Securely re-attach the existing hinged cover on one (1) existing exterior LED wall pack. Note that wall pack is mounted at a high location - approx. 10-15’ AFG. (SEE ATTACHMENT 5.3) REMOVE AND REPLACE LIGHTS: Carefully remove ten (10) existing 2'x4' recessed troffer light fixtures located in the Training Room and Two Offices as noted on ATTACHMENT 5.1; Prep existing bulbs and ballasts for disposal per State Regulations; Provide and install new LED light fixtures to maintain Emergency Egress Overhead Lighting settings and in locations per Attachment 5.2. 2.1.2. BID OPTION 1 – Remove and Replace Lights: Carefully remove ten (10) existing 2'x4' recessed troffer light fixtures and eleven (11) 2'x2' recessed troffer light fixtures located in the Halls, Open Offices (Bull Pen) and Break Area as noted on ATTACHMENT 5.1; Prep existing bulbs and ballasts for disposal per State Regulations; Provide and install new LED light fixtures to maintain Emergency Egress Overhead Lighting settings and in locations per Attachment 5.2. Remove and replace remaining lights as noted on ATTACHMENT 5.1 - Carefully remove fourteen (14) existing 1'x2' pendant light fixtures located in the Garage, Garage Storage Room, Garage Janitors Closet and in the Mechanical Room; Carefully remove five (5) existing recessed can lights from the ceiling of Garage Showers and existing Rest Rooms; Carefully remove two (2) wall-mounted pendant lights from Rest Rooms. NOTE: Ensure that drywall work is performed, to match existing level 4 finish, provide and apply paint to match existing where required; Prep existing bulbs and ballasts for disposal per State Regulations; Provide and install new LED light fixtures to maintain Emergency Egress Overhead Lighting settings and in locations per Attachment 5.2. DEMOLITION AND REMAINING STRUCTURES Protect government property adjacent to demolition work. Prepare surfaces to receive new product per manufacturer’s recommendations. INSTALLATION GUIDELINES Ensure that all debris is cleared from work site on a daily basis and for the duration of the work and provide proper safety material to protect pedestrians and occupants of the facility for the duration of the work. All Electrical work shall conform to current UFC (Unified Facilities Code), IBC (International Building Code) & NFPA-70 (National Fire Protection Association) requirements. ENVIRONMENTAL Contractor shall ensure that all products are Per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS), Lead, and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Free. Dust Control: Contractor shall maintain a clean, dust free work environment and will ensure that dust/debris from overhead ceiling tiles is removed from the job site daily.
