The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking interested business sources for

accomplish the work. Please respond only if you intend to propose on this project when it is
solicited in the future. This is not a solicitation.
Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following information:
1. A list of no more than three current or past projects demonstrating technical experience
with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work. For each
project submitted, provide a brief narrative statement of the work involved, how it
relates to the described herein and your company’s role in the project, the dollar value,
and the completion date. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and
certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your company and/or in-
house personnel.
2. A reference list for each of the projects submitted. Include the name, title, phone
number, and email address for each reference.
3. If subcontracting, state what percentage overall will be subcontracted and what
portions of the work would be subcontracted.
4. Provide a statement of your company’s business size status (Large, Small, HUBZone,
Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), small disadvantaged, or woman-owned) with
regard to the NAICS code listed above.
5. Provide a statement that your company intends to submit an offer on the project when
it is advertised.
6. Provide a statement of your company’s bonding capacity. A statement from your surety
is NOT required.

Summary of Scope of Work:
COMPONENTS
Wide Flange
All American Standard I-Beam sections are 6061-T6 material and must conform to ASTM
B308/B308M.
Angle
All angle sections are 6061-T6 and must conform to ASTM B308/B308M.
Grating
All gratings are 6063-T6 material and must be manufactured and supplied in accordance with
the requirements of ANSI MBG 531-00 and ASTM F626.
Undercut Anchors
Undercut anchors must be used for all concrete connections and must contain the following
minimum salient characteristics:
1. The anchor must be an undercut type.
2. The anchor must be constructed of ASTM Type 316 Stainless Steel.
3. The anchor diameter must be 0.75 inches.
4. The effective depth of the anchors must be no less than 10 inches.
5. The minimum allowable seismic shear strength must be no less than 20,875 lbf per anchor.
6. The minimum anchor yield stress must be no less than 105 ksi.
7. The anchor must be tested in accordance with ACI 355.2 for static and seismic loading and
found to be suitable for use in structural concrete under the design provisions of ACI 318,
Appendix D.
8. The pullout strength in tension for a single anchor in cracked concrete with 2,500 psi
compressive strength must be at least 22,000 lbf, based on the 5 percent fractile of results of
tests performed and evaluated according to ACI 355.2.
9. The anchor must include nuts, washers, expansion couplings, and expansion sleeves per the
manufacturer's recommendations.
10. Each anchor must be equipped with phenolic, or nylon sleeves and washers to protect them
from dissimilar metal corrosion.
Fasteners
All bolts must be hex head style and conform to ASTM F468 6061-T6 alloy and temper.

All washers must conform to ASTM B209 6061-T6 alloy and temper.
All grating fasteners must be hot dipped galvanized steel "G-Clip" with a 1/4-inch hex head cap
