Bldg 302 Rm 110 Bullpen Area Tile Replacement
BACKGROUND: The 151st Intelligence Support Squadron (ISS), located at the Roland R.
Wright Utah Air National Guard Base in Salt Lake City, UT, has a requirement to acquire and
replace the existing raised access computer floor tiles located in building 302, room 110 bullpen
area.
This project is strictly for the procurement and installation of the new replacement tiles into
the existing, currently installed raised access flooring system understructure. It does not involve
installing a new pedestal or grid network understructure.
The scope of work requires the contractor to:
1. Extract and remove the existing aged floor tiles.
2. Install the new concrete-filled and perforated airflow tiles into the existing grid system,
ensuring a seamless, level, and flush fit. Cut holes as needed for data and power cables
and supply industry standard gourmets for holes. Seal all cut tiles to industry standards.
All cutting will be done outside the space in a designated staging area. Workers must
clear security restrictions for working in a classified area and will be always escorted.
3. Completely remove, haul away, and properly dispose of all old, replaced tiles off-site in
accordance with local regulations.
EQUIPMENT: The following specifications delineate the required criteria for each of the items
needed. The proposed products shall meet the stated salient characteristics to be considered
acceptable.
1) Concrete Filled Floor Tile
QTY: 700
Salient Characteristics-
• Shall All-steel welded shell filled with a cementitious core.
• Shall be 24" x 24" (standard panel size).
• Shall be high strength, solid walk feel.
• Shall Class A flame spread, non-combustible.
• Design Load: 1250 lbs• Uniform Load: 300 lbs• Ultimate Load: 2500 lbs• Impact
Load: 150 lbs• Rolling Load: 1000 lbs (10 passes) / 800 lbs (10,000 passes).
• Shall have at least a standard manufacturer warranty.
• Shall be gray in color to closely match existing building tiles as much as possible.
2) Perforated Airflow Tile

Salient Characteristics-
• Shall be all-steel with cross-punch perforation pattern.

• Shall be Class A flame spread, non-combustible.
• Shall be fully compatible with the load-bearing requirements of the integrated floor
system.

DELIVERY, REMOVAL/DISPOSAL, & INSTALLATION: Shipment and delivery of these
items is anticipated to be no later than 90 days after receipt of award. If this delivery timeline
cannot be met, the vendor shall state the best alternate delivery timeline they can provide. The
vendor shall provide all tools, equipment, and personnel needed for installation of the tiles and
disposal as per federal guidelines, setting the new tiles in place, cutting edge tiles to fit and
access holes, during UTANG operating hours of 0600-1630 Monday through Thursday. Delivery
and installation will take place at: 765 N 220 W Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
