2026 YELLOW FEED CORN SPECIFICATIONS/USDA ARS US SHEEP STATION The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Sheep Experiment Station has a need to purchase a total of 120 tons of #2 or better yellow corn delivered to the Headquarters facility, Dubois, Idaho and 120 tons of #2 or better yellow corn delivered to the Mud Lake facility. Below are specifications for Corn and delivery at both locations: #2 or better USDA Grade yellow corn with the exception must not exceed 14% moisture: Corn shall be free of contaminants such as insects, insect damage, mold/grain rot, and rot residue. Corn shall contain minimal dust, cracked kernels, and foreign material per USDA Standards § 810.404. Corn may be rejected on site if these criteria are not met. The contractor is responsible for removing rejected loads. Unloading of corn shall be done by using bottom dump Ag hoppers (no lifting required, no commodity hoppers). Unloading time is estimated between 0.5 and 1 hour per truckload. Delivery at Dubois will be one time: 120 tons to Dubois delivered no later than August 14, 2026 Delivery at the Mud Lake Feedlot will be one time: 130 tons to Mud Lake delivered no later than August 14, 2026 A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is necessary for delivery of corn. Delivery Hours shall be: 7:00 am – 2:30 pm. No Deliveries after 2:30 PM. Monday – Thursday No Deliveries on Fridays Delivery Location: 120 tons of corn delivered to the Headquarters facility, located 4 miles north of Dubois, ID on Interstate 15, take Exit 172, and turn east for 2 miles Delivery Location: 120 tons of corn delivered to the Mud Lake Feedlot, located 2 miles west of Mud Lake, Idaho on Highway 33. The entrance gates are locked so prior notice is required to have someone unlock the gates and assist with unloading. A weigh slip from a certified scale must accompany each delivery. Weigh slips must show tare and gross weight. Quantity variance may be up to 3% less than the amount ordered.
