Background & Justification: HSM-35 requires reliable and mission-capable radio communications to support safe and effective flight line operations. Current handheld radio equipment used by flight line personnel, maintenance teams, and Squadron Duty Office personnel has reached end-of-life. Replacing these obsolete systems is mission-critical to ensure safe, effective, and interoperable fixed-base communications. Mission Impact: Upgrading to the APX 6000 will restore reliable real-time coordination between maintenance personnel and aircrew, resolving degraded communications, improving situational awareness, and mitigating operational risks on the flight line. 2.2 Equipment Requirements The Contractor shall provide the following hardware, software, and warranty items. All equipment must include ADP software DSP-based crypto and analog operation software capabilities. Government acceptance is contingent upon the verification of the following criteria: Condition & Compliance: All deliverables shall be strictly new and compliant with applicable Federal and Department of Defense communication, safety, and interoperability standards. Configuration: Radios must be fully programmed, configured, and compatible with existing communication systems and authorized frequencies. Operational Readiness: Equipment must be delivered complete with all supporting components (batteries, chargers) and ready for immediate operational use.
