Section C – Description/Specifications/Work Statement Statement of Work (SOW) for Station Lake Tahoe Galley Renovation 1.0 GENERAL 1.1 Background The current galley facility requires modernization to enhance functionality and replace aging components. The existing layout, cabinetry, countertops, and specific appliances are outdated and do not meet the current operational needs of the crew. 1.2 Scope The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and materials to perform the galley renovations as specified herein. The scope of work is categorized by the following actions: 1.2.1 To Remain in Place:  The existing refrigerator unit shall be protected and integrated into the new layout. 1.2.2 To Be Removed and Replaced:  The existing cabinetry, countertops, and sink/faucet assembly.  The existing combination griddle/burner unit.  The existing commercial freezer unit. 1.2.3 To Be Furnished and Installed:  New commercial-grade base, tall, and wall cabinetry.  New durable stainless-steel countertops.  New commercial-grade sink and faucet assembly.  New combination griddle/burner unit.  New commercial-grade freezer unit. 1.3 Objective To deliver a fully functional, safe, and modernized galley that meets all applicable commercial food service and facility standards. This includes the installation of new cabinetry, durable stainless-steel countertops, a new commercial sink/faucet assembly, a new combination griddle/burner unit, and a new commercial-grade freezer unit, while successfully protecting and integrating the preserved refrigerator unit. 2.0 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS/TASKS 2.1 Site Dimensions & Itemized List of Work The contractor shall address the galley space, with an approximate total area of 210 sq. ft. Demolish and remove all existing cabinetry, countertops, the old sink, the old griddle, and the existing freezer unit. CRITICAL SAFETY NOTE: White paint on drywall in the southeast corner of the galley has been confirmed to contain lead (72.0 mg/kg). All demolition, sanding, scraping, or disturbance of this painted drywall must comply with the OSHA Lead in Construction Standard (29 CFR 1926.62), including exposure assessments and appropriate worker protections. REFRIGERANT RECLAMATION NOTE: The contractor must legally reclaim and document the removal of all refrigerants from the existing freezer unit prior to disposal, in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations.
