Description
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
MAIN CONTROL CENTER UPGRADE
NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG MIRAMAR (NCBM)
General:
The Main Control Center requires comprehensive modernization of a new ergonomic desk surveillance system, the integration of new computer towers and monitors, and the complete renovation of the control center workspace.
Currently, the Main Control Center operates with legacy systems and a workspace layout that is not conducive to an ergonomic and efficient environment. This has resulted in sub-optimal operator performance and could compromise mission effectiveness. The requested items are to replace the outdated and non-ergonomic equipment and to create a modern, efficient, and fully capable control center.
The command’s mission of providing uninterrupted security and operational oversight requires that control center staff can perform their duties with maximum alertness and efficiency. The proposed modernization will provide an ergonomic and updated environment, which is critical for minimizing operator fatigue and the potential for error. All requested equipment and renovations will provide the tools needed to meet this core requirement.
Other avenues of support in this matter, including minor system upgrades and piecemeal furniture replacement, have been unsuccessful in addressing the fundamental deficiencies of the current setup.
Objectives:
Enable Main Control Center operators to maintain constant situational awareness and uninterrupted operational oversight by providing a modernized, ergonomic, and technologically advanced surveillance and control environment, as required by the command's mission objectives for security and monitoring.
