Execution • 32 plots ranging in size from one-half acre to 7 acres in size, for a total of 110 acres • Shall be delivered and spread upon a one-to-two-day notice from the time plots are prepared and as weather permits Project 2: Fire Guard CLIN 0002 1.0. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, equipment, and labor to mix, deliver, and spread seed and fertilizer on designated food plots. 1.1. Materials • Seed: Passerel Ryegrass • Fertilizer: 13-13-13 1.2. Application Area • McAlester Army Ammunition Plant • The application area is the fire guard, approximately 50 miles long (+/- 2 miles). • The spread width shall be 30 to 50 feet. • The total estimated area is 500 acres. 1.3. Application Rate • Seed: 25 pounds per acre. -- 1 of 2 -- • Fertilizer: 150 pounds per acre. 1.4. Execution • The seed and fertilizer shall be spread in a single pass. A double pass may be used on a few wider areas if necessary. • The total weight of the seed and fertilizer mixture to be applied is approximately 87,500 pounds. 2.0 Schedule & Coordination 2.1 Work Hours: Operations will take place Monday through Thursday, between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. 2.2 Application Window: Work shall be performed no sooner than September 1st and no later than September 30th. 2.3 Notice Period: The contractor must be prepared to deliver and spread the materials within a one to two-day notice after the plots are prepared, weather permitting. The contractor must coordinate the timing of delivery and spreading with the Natural Resources Office. 3.0 Security and Access Requirements 3.1 Base Access: Contractor personnel entering the installation are subject to badging and background check requirements, must have REAL ID as directed by the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant security office. 3.2 Escorts: Contractor personnel will be issued unescorted access while on plant upon successful completion of background checks and security approvals, unless a Government escort is otherwise mandated by installation security. -- 2 of 2 --
