1. 0 Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment
necessary to professionally modify existing carpeting to accommodate the relocation of floor
power distribution boxes and the relocation of floor grommets. This work includes, but is not
limited to:
Precisely cutting and removing existing carpet sections to accommodate the
dimensions of the relocated floor boxes and relocated grommets.
Seamlessly integrating any required carpet patching or seaming to ensure a
professional and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Securing carpet edges and seams to prevent unraveling or future damage.
Matching existing carpet texture, color, and pile direction as closely as possible when
patching or seaming is required.
Removing and disposing of all debris related to the carpet modification in a safe and
responsible manner.
2.0 Description of Services: This document outlines the requirements for the Contractor to
provide minor carpet repair and replacement services, ensuring a safe, functional, and
aesthetically pleasing finished product.
2.1 Carpet Installation and Integration:
2.1.1 The Contractor shall rework existing or install new carpet tiles over the raised
access floor system. This work includes the precise cutting and fitting of carpet tiles
around reworked floor power boxes and grommets.
2.1.2 The Contractor shall coordinate closely with the designated IT/AV contracting
team, confirming the scope and schedule of carpet work in each
room before commencing work to avoid conflicts and ensure proper alignment with
power box and grommet installations.
2.1.3 The Contractor shall prioritize the reuse of existing removed carpet tiles whenever
possible. Additionally, approximately 200 square yards of "attic stock" carpeting
(approximately 500 carpet tiles) and a supply of adhesive will be available on-site for the
Contractor's use.
2.1.4 Should additional carpeting be required, the Contractor shall furnish new carpet
tiles that match the existing carpet in texture, color, and pile direction. The Contractor
will provide approximately of 100 matching carpet tiles to the Government upon project
completion for future patching and repairs. The existing carpet manufacturer, style, and
color are: Patcraft, Metallic Alchemy (10422), Antique Titanium (00770).
2.2 Installation Standards and Best Practices:

2.2.1 All carpet tile installation will adhere to the manufacturer's installation guidelines,
ensuring proper adhesion, seam alignment, and a durable finished product.
2.2.2 Carpet tiles shall be installed to match the existing pattern in adjacent areas,
maintaining a consistent aesthetic. Special attention will be paid to tile alignment at edges
and seams to create a smooth and visually appealing surface.
2.2.3 Wherever possible, carpet edges will be aligned with the raised access floor panel
seams to minimize disruptions and ensure easy access to underfloor utilities.
2.2.4 The Contractor will prioritize the reuse of adhesive dots from removed carpet tiles.
Any additional adhesive or installation materials required will be provided by the
Contractor and will meet manufacturer specifications and be suitable for the site
conditions.
2.2.5 The Contractor will protect all facility surfaces, including walls, bases, and adjacent
areas from damage. Any spills caused by adhesives or other compounds will be cleaned
promptly and thoroughly.
2.3 Project Management and Quality Control:
2.3.1 The Contractor shall store and protect all project materials in a Government-
approved location on-site, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
Materials shall not be stored in the loading dock area.
2.3.2 The Contractor shall employ only skilled and experienced carpet installers for this
project.
2.3.3 Prior to installation, the Contractor will conduct a thorough inspection of the
substrate to ensure it is clean, dry, and properly prepared to receive the carpet tiles and
provide the desired final smooth professional carpet finish. Substrate preparation will
follow manufacturer guidelines.
2.3.4 The Contractor shall dispose of all unusable carpet and project waste in accordance
with local regulations and guidelines.
2.3.5 The Contractor shall maintain a robust quality control program throughout the
project lifecycle, from pre-installation to project completion. This includes a check
walkthrough with the Government representative after the completion of the first room
and periodically thereafter to ensure adherence to quality standards and project
specifications.
3.0 Period of Performance: Project must be completed 30 OCT 2026 – 26 FEB 2027. Contractor
to confirm period of performance with government representative prior to mobilization or start of
work. The contractor shall provide the detailed components of the quality control program and

detailed project schedule, including milestones and deadlines, within 5 days of contract award.
Work will be completed in accordance with the by-floor sequence and on-site coordination with
the IT/AV team:
Type of Contract: This is a Firm-Fixed Price contract.
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 0900hrs. – 1600hrs.
Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at
MCA-1, Building 29850, 245 Club Dr, Fort Gordon, GA 30905. Contractor to coordinate access
to building with government representative.
Security Requirements: Contractor employees performing on this contract/task order must be
U.S. citizens and can gain access to Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Installation Access: Contractor employees, including subcontractors, shall comply with
