Coast Guard Air Station Detroit Roof Repairs

SCOPE OF WORK: Roof Repairs GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The work consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to patch/repair roof sections of building 1401 (MX Hangar), 1461 (OPS Hangar) and 1464 (Garage) at USCG AIRSTA Detroit, 1461 N Perimeter Rd, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI 48045. COMMENCEMENT, PROSECUTION AND COMPLETION OF WORK: Upon acceptance the contractor shall commence work NLT five (5) calendar days after notice to proceed and work diligently to complete the entire work ready for use by 30 days after contract award. SCOPE OF WORK: Post-inspection completed by Selfridge ANGB Civil Engineering, and numerous leaks spotted in shops and offices, the following items must be repaired for each building: 1401 (MX Hangar) Clean and coat/seal all roof patches (appx. 3) Repair and properly band pipe boots so they don’t hold water Roof penetrations and cut panels cleaned and coated/sealed 1461 (OPS Hangar) Repair and properly band pipe boots so they don’t hold water Roof penetrations and cut panels cleaned and coated/sealed Clean any algae growth on the roof 1464 (Garage) Roof penetrations and cut panels cleaned and coated/sealed The contractor shall provide labor, materials, and equipment for all necessary repairs for operations at USCG AIRSTA Detroit, 1461 N Perimeter Rd, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI 48045. DESCRIPTION OF FACILITY: Repairs will be conducted on the MX Hangar (1401), Operations Hangar (1461), and Garage (1464) at USCG AIRSTA Detroit located within SELFRIDGE ANGB. The contractor will be escorted to this location by the Contracting Officer’s Representative in order to complete any assessments and will be required to submit for visitor badge approval with SELFRIDGE ANGB. CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATIONS: The contractor shall currently be licensed in commercial roof repairs through the State of Michigan. The Contractor shall submit a photocopy of certification to the contracting officer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The contractor shall provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary to repair roof fittings, specifically: 1401 (MX Hangar) The MX hangar has multiple roof penetrations and patches that have deteriorated to the point that they are allowing water to intrude into the spaces below. Old patching material should be cleaned and prepped to replace with new patching in order to prevent water intrusion. Pipe boots shall be properly banded so that they can’t hold water and can meet inspection requirements. 1461 (OPS Hangar) The OPS Hangar has multiple roof penetrations and patches that have deteriorated to the point that they are allowing water to intrude into the spaces below. Old patching material should be cleaned and prepped to replace with new patching in order to prevent water intrusion. Pipe boots shall be properly banded so that they can’t hold water and can meet inspection requirements. Any algae growth on the roof shall be cleaned 1464 (Garage) The Garage has multiple roof penetrations and patches that have deteriorated to the point that they are allowing water to intrude into the spaces below. Old patching material should be cleaned and prepped to replace with new patching in order to prevent water intrusion. CONTACT ADMINISTRATOR/POINT OF CONTACT: The following employees of the U.S. Coast Guard identified will use all powers under the contract to enforce its faithful performance: EMC Alexander E Karjala & LT Quinn Hathcock. CONTRACTING OFFICER: All orders from the U.S. Coast Guard shall be transmitted and communicated through the Contracting Officer. The appointed Contracting Officer is Mr. Timothy Arnold. CONTRACTING OFFICERS TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE (COTR): The COR shall work with the contractor on a daily basis in scheduling and coordinating services, answering questions in conjunction with the scope of work (SOW), and provide general direction under the resulting contract: EMC Alexander E Karjala. INCURRED COSTS: The contractor shall furnish all supplies including consumable materials and tools to repair all items stated in the scope of work. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS: Hazardous materials used by a contractor are required to be disposed of by that contractor.
